That "All White" article is idiotic ramblings of that fat ass loser Paul Gardner. Please note that an article is by him so I don't give that moron any hits.
I too am adamantly against the all star game. It leads to many problems including fixture congestion and perpetuating Euro-snobery. I want a long March 1 -Dec 15 season, with two to three weeks off for international competitions every summer. Even with that, there is enough congestion. If a particular team wants to bring over a Euro side for a friendly, it's on their calendar time, not the league's.
To be honest, the MLS XI, really sucks this year. The choices, especially the back line and goalkeeper are questionable at best. No RSL players is somewhat of a joke... The team's playmakers are old which might be indicative of MLS and send the wrong message to leagues abroad. Where are the young playmakers...the future of the league? I believe they're in MLS, just not voted on the roster. Zusi and the backline are decent players...but seeing them play against Chelsea. I see a 7-2 match scoreline in Chelsea's favor. With all of the World summer League matchups against MLS teams, the All-Star interest level is somewhat watered down.

That's a touchy statement. Unless Chang is a majority owner, I don't think he should be using the word "my".

It was the W Hotel not the Watergate Hotel. He has been the sole owner for a few years. It is rumored Chang and Thohir have equal 40% shares.
Forbes has it at 60% between the two. http://www.forbes.com/sites/mikeoza...res-son-values-mls-team-at-record-50-million/
Then he is marginalizing Thohir's status as an equal owner. I'm sure Chang didn't mean it as such when he made his statement, but it didn't sound professional.
Let me take another look at that. If Thorir and Chang are at 40% each, and Thorir and Levien are at 60% together, then Levien took a 20% stake in the franchise. Now everything jives.
And the rest of it could be explained this way: Chang: 40.0001% Thohir: 40% Levein: 19.9999% 'non-voting' Ie Chang would still control the team, which for what it's worth is what he said before he sold the team. It's also been reported that Levein paid substantially less than Thohir did, and is valued for his expertise in navigating the waters of getting the facility built.
