Nice ... my guess was that it was the amphitheater in Nimes which is still used for concerts and other events. Truly amazing!
Reminds me of that NIKE commercial when their company was just starting to go long on the beautiful game post USA1994. Where they had just signed jersey deals with Arsenal and Ajax and then the NT's of Italia, Portugal and Brasil or personal deals with Cantona and Jorge Campos so they came up with a battle of Good vs. Evil spot where the best on the planet play inside of some old Roman built gladiator pit, or from above an amphitheater, versus a hoard of demonized ballers and the devil himself as the goalie.
