I don't think the hydration break has hurt this World Cup at all. Working at a bar I've noticed more food orders around the break and patrons using the bathroom. If MLS would adopt the match break for a big jump in revenue, I say do it.
    .
Also it seems both games on Friday night will be on big Fox as a Friday night double header. The second game is LAFC vs. La Galaxy starting at 10:30. Just a guess but I think this might be a new time slot in the future for Fox and MLS in the future. The league and Fox are about to negotiate the linear contract and it seems Apple is willing to work with the league.... So Friday night soccer after dark sponsored by Michelob Ultra, enjoy a round as you watch from your favorite watering hole.

The ESPN article about hydration breaks says 1/4 of the media rights for the World Cup comes from America.

Another wild guess on the badge. I've heard of them, but I don't know what their logo looks like: Staines Town (in England)?

Reading that, I bet they will. Have to give the devil his due, they haven't hurt the play at all (I would argue they've even occasionally helped it), and they give the viewer a bit of downtime without the stop-start of typical American sports. Meanwhile, since the bigger leagues will probably drag their heels on it due to tradition and fan backlash, it would allow MLS to have a non-trivial first mover advantage.

This one I'm not sure about. Don't love the idea of slipping back towards "nobody knows when the games are on" territory. And it might be an annoying adjustment for an attending fan. But it is true that Fox's ratings fell off a cliff once games became available on Apple, so if this allows them to compete better maybe it's worth it.

And this is artificially low given Fox's no-bid for this WC. They're paying about a third of what it might have gone for, is what I've heard.
