"While the Leagues Cup promises growth, visibility, and financial success, it also hinders the development of soccer in the United States"
Imagine these three things are what we need to get rid of to be more successful to develop soccer in the US. Who would have guessed?

I know, right? Sixteen-year-old Peyton Miller became a starter for the Revs during Leagues Cup, which led to the trade of defacto starter DeJuan Jones. I'm sure Miller would be in Europe by now if it weren't for that darn Leagues Cup! :D

While I think the Leagues Cup should be condemned to the dustbin of history, arguing that it hinders the development of soccer in the U.S. is a bizarre claim.

It'd be like claiming the Superliga was the reason that we missed the 2018 World Cup.
