...beacause this award is really all that matters, right?

"Tucker Walther of the Crew was named the league’s top equipment manager"
    - from an article on dispatch.com

if anyone has a subscription, go read the "article" here: http://www.dispatch.com/crew/crew.php?story=dispatch/2004/11/09/20041109-E5-06.html&chck=t

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't newspaper writers supposed to be objective and straightforward? Maybe tell the whole story? This article sounds just like a press release from the Crew. There's absolutely nothing about the playoffs which the Crew crashed out of nor is there anything about the boneheaded decisions made on a weekly basis by Greg Andrulis.

Glad to see Tucker rewarded. He works his ass off. Much deserved.

That "article" has no authur. It's a press release, probably from the Crew, regarding those Crew players up for awards and that's it. You really expect Craig Merz to break away from reporting on the OHSAA cross-country finals to write a post-season article about one of the two professional teams in Columbus? Come on now.

At least someone on our team won something. I'll be pulling for "Super" Bob Westlake, Lead Janitor at CCS to win CSOTY(Cleaning Staff Of The Year).

Timmy Smith for Ball Kid of the Year?

Or Jerry O Rickylake for Most Improved Ticket Taker?

Should this happen, our season will surely be a success.
In other news, Mark McCullers has been named Interim Employee of the Year, while Jim Smith has been given the Got Out Before Things Really Got Bad award.

How about "Axis Sally" the parking Nazi? All the other guys wave you in one direction, you ignore them and they just shrug.

Sally makes an ugly face at you as you drive by.

Dedication and extra effort like that deserves recognition.

And that's not even mentioning Elvin "Suds" Johnson, the $4.50 beer guy who pours half the bottle on himself when he opens it and then fumbles with the change for 40 or 50 seconds until you say "Oh crap, just keep it"

It's the little people that make the difference.

Heyyyyy!!! Tucker is a super guy and did some real favours that he didn't need to do for me. I congratulate him on his award and too bad he's not the gaffer!

Personally I don't see how he won it. How many times during the year did people complain on here about certain players forgetting to wear their shooting boots.

Who's supposed to take care of those things?
