I had to switch away from.. The great (mine's bigger than yours) highschool debate. The thought that any of these twits could represent this country as ""leader of the Free World"" is simply galling.
Most of us in Europe are sitting here with our mouths open in amazement. I'm telling yer, if someone wrote it as satire people would say it's ridiculous.
I dunno ... some pretty crazy stuff happens in Europe too. Gert Wilders, Silvio Berlusconi, Viktor Orban, shirtless Putin, fistfights in Greek parliament etc ... Maybe not as much in Britain ... you folks seem to have a bit more decorum.
I liked when Omarosa was his surrogate. @Naughtius Maximus here's what you need to know about her. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omarosa
lol for the not in Britain part But the actual point as I understand it was yes we do have wingnuts too but no, the electorate doesnt let them get away with campaigning or tv debates on highschool level. So the European electorate has more decorum but also cerebrum.
I suspect the key difference isn't decorum. The key difference is that your debates are always interparty. Intraparty debates here are the weird ones.
That is likely true. Also: our parties are real parties. Your parties as a vehicle of opinion-forming are far less strictly organised so that fringe opinions dont get marginalized.

Winning hearts and minds by ___________ the shit out of them... Has that been tried anywhere before? http://www.rawstory.com/2016/03/tru...ers-if-you-hurt-them-ill-defend-you-in-court/
But not in the middle of a nationally televised debate. Well from the expression on his face here something looks to be going on behind that lectern but, y'know... not that we can confirm.
