Yeah, the current or a future Pope is the common target of being called the Anti-Christ. I think the more popular idea since I've been in college is that of a New World Order-type politician.

Naturally, to do this they abandon tradition in understanding the anti-Christ was probably Emperor Nero.

This is supported by adding up the letters of his name in Hebrew; remember that each letter has an associated number (think how Latin numerals double as letters). When you take the Greek version of Nero's name, the associated Hebrew number is 666. When you take the Latin version of his name, the associated Hebrew number is 616 (see the wikipedia link above for more detail and how it works out; both numbers get used in early copies of Revelation, depending on the text).

Add to it that "prophecy" back in the day had a broader definition than how it is typically used today. A prophet was someone who spoke for a god, not necessarily someone talking about the future.

Revelation being a prophetic book does not necessarily imply it was about a distant future, but about what was happening to Christians at the time it was written. When you read Revelation in this context it makes a lot more sense.

That was another lovely tidbit I've gleaned from the Esoterica youtube channel. There are VERY few instances where prophets spoke about the future. When predictions didn't pan out, they tended to get killed/ran out of town. Mainly they would interpret current events in light of the g-d(s).

One of Yahweh's promises was that the Jewish kingdom wouldn't get wiped out. But then it very much did so by the Babylonians. So at that time, there was a great reinterpretation of what g-d's kingdom was.

Prophets used coded language to condemn current situations and call the locals to repent to rid themselves of the evil the are mired in, while at the same time maintain a bit of plausible deniability to avoid the law.

Considering that it is right after the Wiles post, and Trump has no humor ability, and it came from a Xwitter/Bluesky rando, it wasn't clear.

If there is a God, let there be among us agents of an advanced and enlightened alien race predisposed to invoke the Galactic 25th, by any means necessary.

It's a competition. Venezuela up to 51st. Canada holding strong at 52 and Greenland at 53. Cuba a new wild card.

Only Canada and Venezuela are in for the 51st state competition. Cuba and Greenland can only aspire to be territories.

    A pathological liar is lying.......What a surprise.

“On Monday, President Donald Trump claimed that he spoke to a former president about the U.S. military strikes in Iran,” Mediaite reports.

“Shortly thereafter, representatives for every single living president denied such a conversation had taken place.”

He went fast from "I want Greenland from you" to "I want help from you". Also how could it be a legitime reason to fight for the Street of Hormuz when it first got closed when the moron attacked himself?

Old Testament prophets are quite clear about calling out shitty rulers and predicting they will destroy Israel.
The Left Behind/Rapture crap is used by people who want to handwave away the criticism of the powerful that the prophets represent.

Interestingly he can't offer any upsides to EU or China to get involved, because any deals are worthless.

So his best tool is to threaten Europe. Which is quite amazing stuff, and most likely IMO

He said didn't want to get him in trouble by naming him, and it was a president from the other party, and that he liked him, and his last name rhymed with Linton.

Ok I added the last bit.

If this administration was led by particularly cruel twelve year old children, what would be the difference?

There were a couple of clips from the impromptu q&a on Air Force One the other day. Man, he just rambles and rambles and rambles. And bullshits. And, to form, his misogyny showed up when a couple of female reporters ask challenging questions, and Trump basically says they are shit. Not linking the video as I could only find it with good enough quality on right sided channel - search "Trump Air Force One" from 3/13/26 if you want to watch it. The whole q&a is about 20 minutes.

Your hypothetical group of asshole 12 year olds would be better at long term planning, for one thing.

And I’m not making a joke for effect here either.
