But should posters have to cater to the posters with such privacy concerns? I get why it may be annoying or seem disrespectful but is it a requirement of the forum? It seems to me that superdave may be making a choice by not reaching everyone and posters that block Twitter are also making a choice not to see everything. But I don’t know the rule which is why I’m asking.
If there's a link in a Xweet why not just post the link? Xweet-loading is a known and widespread pain in the ass and for the love of God don't we all have bigger fish to fry than encountering the damned things and then rehashing the prohibition or suggestion or lament or whatever
Interesting article or opinion, we all have opinions on Drumpf. Its worth reading tho. It’s not like we haven’t thought about this and how he could use it. Trump may be trying to provoke an attack on American soil Partial: A Tomahawk cruise missile, an American weapon, a weapon that Iran doesn’t own and can’t fire, struck a girls’ elementary school. One hundred and seventy-five people are dead, most of them little girls who showed up that morning to learn to read. And Donald Trump stood in front of cameras and said Iran did it. He lied. About dead children. Without blinking. And his crew backed him up, even knowing it was a lie. Because once you’ve done that, once you’ve convinced enough people that truth is just whatever you say no matter how outrageous or transparently false it is, you can do pretty much anything. You can bomb a school full of little girls and blame the victims. You can try to rig an election and, when you lose, call it stolen from you. You can watch a million Americans die and say the virus is just going to disappear. You can claim that tax cuts for billionaires will help average working-class people. You can say that increasing poisons in the air and on our crops will Make America Healthy Again. You can argue that destroying unions will increase working people’s standard of living. You can claim that taking people’s healthcare away “encourages individual initiative” and “independence.” Trump didn’t invent this. But my G-d, has he perfected it. https://www.rawstory.com/raw-investigates/trump-iran-2675993330/
I don't know it is a hard and fast rule, but as I have said, it has been requested by the mods of this forum to do so.
This is funny - White South Africans would rather go back to South Africa (where they are being genocide'd ) than live in the United States. What happened to the "American dream"? Some white South Africans are returning home after decades abroad, citing lower costs and higher living standards, despite U.S. President Trump's appeal to flee alleged discrimination https://t.co/KGpVsHdscD pic.twitter.com/KT6qyXbqwR— Reuters (@Reuters) March 11, 2026
He's going to drain the Great Lakes to feed the Great Salt Lake, then send day-old carp carcasses to Carney, blaming the whole thing on group of mainly blue-state governors?
I'm old enough to remember when Nixon was told by DP Moynihan that the Civil Rights Movement needed some "benign neglect", doing less on the Federal level and letting the states mistreat us. That's what hippie punching looks like. The factions and lip service to alleged conservative values were always a facade for their racism. Once Trump made it cool to be racist, the facade wasn't needed any longer. Also wanted to point out that they've been waiting for someone like Trump for generations, precisely so they could ditch the facade and enjoy privilege.
I've skipped the embarrassment part, and let me explain. Years ago, in the mid 1990s, I was doing a study abroad in the UK. I happened to meet this French girl, and somehow we ended up talking about racism, and having a comparison as to which country was worse. She mentioned that she had seen people cross the street when a Black person was walking down the street, or had heard derisive comments about an interracial couple they saw. I realized then, along with things I had read about English football fans, that the racism we had in the US was not unique. So, I'm not embarrassed about the racism that is at the leadership of our government because I know that a lot of people in this country are okay with it. And it is also not unique to the US. I'm sad and angry that other people allowed it to be a lesser thing and voted for the racist (and sexist and homophobe etc.). But I'm not embarrassed because that is who we are.
I repped this because I agree with it and it aligns with my own lived experience. With that said I’m a little confused as while I caught something in your op that embarrassed and angered me… I confess that I didn’t perceive racism. What I caught…which i assumed you were referencing…was the “soon to be governor”crack about the head of state of our ally…or ex ally..or whatever.
Okay, understand that. And in that regard, yeah, I am embarrassed at how ignorant he is, even before his dementia took full hold.
The grand plan is to buy off the water rights along the Bear River, making those people generationally wealthy, instead of just wealthy. This includes parts of Southern Idaho.
It's basically a link to a short of Jimmy Falon's opening a few days ago of Trump mispronouncing words. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/zZQ8uJLxBso
