Yeah, my brother used to own a petrol station. As you say, it's the money they're spending now that dictates the price. Not what they did pay.

Still scam, isn't it? You calculate your price with what you have to pay for the stuff in the first place. If you have to refill you calculate again. Obviously often it's a mixed calculation because you don't refill when you sold the last drop but every cent you demand over the original price you calculated is scam/ exploit.

The German cartel office is looking into the this latest price spike exactly because of this practice. What is important to know: the individual gas station operators are innocent, it's the big companies dictating the price.

The analyst turned influencer Joshua Doss, hypothesized that young men are often searching for Community, similar to gangs and team sports. The way to join these groups is adherence to alot of this sexist, racist aka conservative ideology. It makes it clear that the stats and rational reasoning fails because they value their community more than the argument being made. He admits he is not sure how liberals and democrats breakthrough that.

I pulled up at 2.79, dropped my phone and went to pick it up as the worker was coming out. Apparently that minute fumbling with my phone meant it was now 2.99

I'd have to check with my brother which is tricky as he died 8 years ago but, from what I understand, you have to pay for the fuel within a relatively short period after you get it and the margins are usually pretty small so you can't afford to finance any extra cost in the meantime.

But obviously, it depends whether they're a franchised, self trader or other model as to what terms and margin they get.

It gets pushed on you very heavily if you get online at all. I was exposed to the alt-right pipeline in the mid 2010s and flirted with it for quite a bit. Thankfully, I found my way out. It starts out very innocently, but permeates through gaming, fitness, etc.

And that's why prices go down so fast when the crisis is over. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Prices go up immediately there's a price rise and come down slowly as 'the free market' forces people to drop them.

    Welcome to capitalism :)

Trump II has clearly ushered in the end of non-proliferation. As a thought exercise, I have imagined the fallout (pun intended) of a Europe-U.S. nuclear exchange.
Let us say that the outcome is a total victory for the U.S.: perfect missile defense means that not one European weapon reaches its targets, whilst most U.S. ballistic missiles do, turning every European capital and major city from Lisbon to Berlin into smoldering ashes.

Isn't that still a suicide pact for the U.S.? Our economies are insanely integrated. You would have an immediately supply chain collapse, including for goods that America relies on for its survival (for instance finished products and chemicals for the drug industry).
Furthermore, the U.S.-European economies represent roughly half of global GDP. You would have a de facto obliteration of the financial system as we know it.

That is before we get to the really fun stuff: the contamination of such a large nuclear exchange to the stratosphere would almost definitely lead to a nuclear winter, making agriculture in the midwest breadbasket near impossible for up to fifty years.

And another minor one, but no more brain drain either to help fuel the U.S. economy and innovation (because those brains would no longer exist).

So even the most positive outcome for the U.S. would still be an instance of what the philosopher DJ Khaled once described as:

Yes, but the important thing is the USA would have won because of Jesus, or something like that.

In retrospect, it is amazing things did not unravel to this degree during Trump I. Even more amazing that after that huge dodged bullet, the U.S. electorate said, "shoot at me again please".

This is the dark truth of the Trump era. A lot of Americans are perfectly fine with all of this, as long as the price of gas doesn't go up.

Democratic leadership grossly overestimates how much appetite there is for returning to the status quo in general.

Yeah, I get that. But the Orange Buffoon and his closest cadre of grifters aren't really religious---they don't believe in any of that.

I highly doubt it. It's an act---he's pretty boy former TV host. In reality, he thinks the Rapture would mess up his hair and his ability to hit on rich divorcees when this current grift ends.

The Independent vote has decided every election since 2000. Things Dumpster ran on hasn't happened outside of his immigration promises. Even then, tax payers are footing the bill for the newly built concentration camps and to keep these migrants in the US. Tax payers are also footing the bill for the ICE agents and their bloated salaries. Most people aren't happy about this, even some MAGAs.

The two are not mutually exclusive.

Not every theocratic reactionary thinks the apocalypse is imminent.
