And I wouldn't be surprised if the Evangelical church has a lot to do it.

We shouldn't be surprised when they baptize 250+ new college students during the first weeks of fall semester.

    The two are definitely related.

Here’s an article about career advice sent from Liberty Law School to its students.

Loyalty to Trump matters, GPA not so much.

    https://abovethelaw.com/2026/03/law...itically-with-president-trump-for-summer-job/

In other news, earlier this week the administration asked the court to drop its appeal of a decision in favor of Big Law and against the administration. Now the DOJ is dropping the dropping.

I mean, sure, it’s comical ineptitude and will make a fun side plot in the future series satirizing Trump. But it’s also kinda good news: think how much worse things would be if the administration was competent.

This was inevitable. Because our military is untested in this new warfare that is primarily drone warfare. As are we and everybody pre Russian invasion of Ukraine. Saying that, what we have also seen is that the Chinese equipment that have been used in Iran and Venezuela was not very good. The examples we have are in Russia and Ukriane, where they are advancing in tactics and technology very quickly, and defeating defenses very quickly.

I saw something in the past week somewhere (a YouTube video?) that said there is a new group of young Christians who are not evangelical (intentionally using lower case) and have some crossover between fundamental Christianity and the manosphere (or MAGA or something like that). Basically, they are more conservative than evangelicals, and I think more radical. And that group is growing. Didn't get into it for some reason, but was alarming as it was a way for them to search for community and they found one.

There's a number of national/international "outreach programs" I've seen, such as Alpha, that are designed to recruit young people and instill in them a conservative evangelical belief (but without the labels).

The Trump thread has typically been used for comments about the administration - not just him specifically

It seems like Noem stole 143m

Neguse: Where is this company headquartered?

    Noem: I don’t know.

Neguse: I don’t know either. We can’t find it. We did find an address that’s registered to a political operative. This company that received 143 million dollars was incorporated 8 days before this contract went out. You want the American people to believe that this is all above board, that $143 million of taxpayer money just happened to go to this one company that doesn't have a headquarters, doesn't have a website, has never done work for the federal government before and is registered apparently or attached to a residence from a political operative, and of course one of the subcontractors of that contract, as you know, is a political firm that's tied to, to you back when you were governor of South Dakota?

It was a no-bid contract as well.

Neguse is my rep, and I've been encouraged lately about his questioning of people before committees.

There are certain boring-but-required pieces of supplier documentation that would be...difficult to produce in that timeframe.

But of course FAR now is an adjective for our increasing distance from conventional space-time.

I am. The hit on the AN/FPS-132 has been posted widely from multiple sources, and the concept of decoys and painted targets is old hat. There are factories churning out fake artillery, mortars, and vehicles of all kinds of both sides of the Ukraine war, and Russia's been painting fake airplanes in their airports for years, although theirs aren't that good. Ukraine has non-flyable F-16's donated from the US, partially as sources of spare parts, but partially as dummy targets.

That being said, it hasn't actually helped Iran this war.

At least our lot had the excuse they had to rush because of the pandemic so they were justified into doing a bit of 'crimming'. Also, some of them got clobbered afterwards with having to pay the money back...

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...nst-michelle-mone-linked-firm-over-faulty-ppe

IIRC there were also a few people charged, although I don't remember the details.

Now that the Dow Jones is below 48,000, I wonder if Pam Bondi will start caring about the Epstein victims?

Nah, I'm not fooling anyone. We all know she would rather blame them for being the reason the Dow has fallen over 4% since she made her comment. (And no, I'm not implying there was a cause and effect there, just saying I wouldn't put it past her to imply one).

And she is about to be fired..... She is such a vile, corrupt and horrible woman,

“President Trump is preparing to fire Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem,” the Wall Street Journal reports.

“The president has already been asking aides and congressional Republicans for names of potential replacements.”

NBC News: Trump considers firing DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.

Markwayne is one of the dumbest if not the dumbest senators ever, and there is intense competition.
