Ivanka the job creator..... Never too late to learn something new in this world! She is amazing though.

Trump Claims Ivanka Created 10% of All U.S. Jobs
“On Tuesday, President Trump hosted a call with business leaders to discuss efforts to provide financial relief to small businesses. During that call, he made an astounding claim: that his daughter Ivanka personally created 15 million jobs,” Vox reports.
“To put this claim in perspective, as of January — before the coronavirus pandemic caused the US economy to start hemorrhaging jobs — about 152 million people in the United States were employed, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. So Trump is claiming that his daughter created about 10 percent of all the jobs in the United States.”

On a different note, I just saw that Europe has the majority of the cases and deaths... I was doing some math, basically counting the 5 major countries which hold a population approximately the size of the US (325 million), and they have about 450k cases and 60k deaths...

    Country Cases/Deaths

    USA 400,549/12,857

    Spain 146,690/14,555
    Italy 135,586/17,127
    Germany 109,329/2,096
    France 109,069/19,337
    UK 55,242/6,159

Put in perspective, maybe we're not having such a horrible time, except NY/NJ...

Yes those are the reported coronavirus epicenters.* Those countries are more densely populated than us, and they are paying the price for that.

    * Since the virus probably doesn't attack only people who live in wealthy democracies, these may not be the hardest hit places on the planet. But once you get outside the G20, who knows?

    Europe is also weeks ahead.

Thousands of US deaths are in the mail.

Remember, on average it typically takes weeks to get to the stage of death.

Oh, no, I agree... Also, the US is very unevenly populated and thanks to sprawl, even in our largest cities, we usually don't live elbow to elbow, like is the case in most of the world's largest urban areas...

Places where I think we will see numbers scalating in the next few weeks/months, based just on the size of their cities:

    India
    Brasil
    Mexico
    Philipines
    Nigeria
    Bangladesh
    Japan
    Egypt
    Indonesia

Guayaquil, Ecuador is a nightmare. Over 700 people dead on the streets. No one want to touch the bodies. The mayor requested the military come in and help.

And to think, just a few short years ago we looked at Ecuador and the high valleys of eternal spring as a possible retirement home.
Just didn’t quite feel right though.

Yes, as a base to look around. We still had thoughts of the north coast and planned to look. Wanted to avoid the gringo gated communities. But!

Rick Wilson is a nasty operator but I have to say I have developed a lot of respect for him lately. I give him credit for clearly stating his opposition to Trump, calling him a con man and a sociopath (among other more charming ones) and he has not moved an inch from it. Him and his compadres of the Lincoln project have talked the talk and walked the walk.

I’m afraid we need people like that. Trump gets away with far too much without reply. We need Wilson on the same podium as the orange asshole to rebut in real time.
Call him a fkn liar to his face right there. I want to see that cowardly piece of crap try and handle that without the asskissing.

AOC is getting a lot of the spotlight but among some impressive freshmen and even more women in the 2018 Congress class, Katie Porter is a certified rock star. She knows her stuff inside out and she does not suffer fools well.

Do you remember the vaporware sports media company that was "created" during the original Internet boom? It was going to by "headed by" John Elway, Michael Jordan, and some baseball guy. The whole thing was completely and utter bullshit, and even during the Internet mania the company couldn't raise money.

    That's what this is.
