The bathroom at one of the places I work has an expansive view of Chelsea, just like this. I like it, until it's time to wipe.
Trump fired the guy who got the whistleblower complaint and followed the law. Our democracy is hanging on by a thread. If Trump wins in November, the democracy we know is dead.
No. It's already dead. It's been dead for a while now. It just took a while for people here to realize it.
If Democrats sweep both houses of Congress, the Presidency, and a damn good number of state legislatures, I'll be back to remind all of you that, just like before 2018, you were wrong.
I do understand why you correctly argue that so long as free and fair(ish) elections take place, then democracy is not dead But by the same token, I believe there is significant rotting of the flesh - especially Trump's attempt to jigger the election via Ukraine but (to me) of great concern, the severe degradation of constitutional conventions.
It would help if more Americans cared. One my great disappointments about independent voters is that they haven't rallied around democracy. I figured that OK, they disagree with large parts of both the Democratic and Republican platforms so they won't join a party, but one thing we can all agree on is to opposed an openly corrupt candidate who fires honest employees, promotes sycophants, and attempts to run over the Constitution. Wrong. We haven't at all been able to agree on that.
And then it asks you to donate right? I usually comment to the FB “sponsored” ad something colorful and fitting
It is horrible. They've been talking NBA in empty arenas in the summer maybe. I'm not even that into the NBA but I'll watch. Apparently the Belarussian Premier League is still kicking on https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/s...l-chiefs-heads-buried-sand-amid-Covid-19.html
My wife and I do a daily walk, and there's a bar that seems to let people hang out inside. It occurred to me today that it's a good thing the NCAA cancelled the hoops tourney: had it been going, even in empty arenas, bars would be hard pressed not to let people in to watch. As it is, much as I miss the football, I'm not tempted by the Belarusian Premier League. Yet.
Volchy doesn't leave the pitch for a mere 101 fever. Hell, Volchy plays through a 101 degree fever, CELSIUS!
Subs, reserves, college players then yoot development. That Belarussian dictator will not let COVID-19 win!
I had a dream last night that I was playing pick up footy. When I woke up I realized that it might be months before I get to do that again.
