Luckily the military brass appear to despise Trump, and he lacks the federal goon squad to pull it off. This is why you need to invest in your own paramilitary from day 1

My parents actually was asbestos. It was down to my mom's bad taste that she even got that crap in the first place. It's now sealed in with a false ceiling to delight some future owner.
I spent much of the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend replacing all of the light fixtures in the living room, dining room, kitchen and hallways of my new house. I pulled one of these out of the front entry and replaced it with a very nice (yet inexpensive) glass petal ceiling fixture. Should I be worried and Biden's tax plan now? I was going to use it replace an even uglier fixture in the breezeway. I don't know if that makes it more or less likely that I should worry about Biden's tax plan. This "your ceiling light determines your political and economic future" is so confusing. By the way, I had thought of, but never heard, the term "ceiling titty" previously.
Yeah - the ceiling was cracked in the quake - and they had that absurd stipple effect So the decision was made just to lower the ceiling an inch or so and seal that shite in ...
While I appreciate her independence and desire to uphold the law....public commentary like this isn’t helpful.
^^^^^^^ This doesn't include loss of taste. I have two friends who have survived covid19, but both have lost their sense of taste. 3-4 months in, and it still hasn't come back. They claim it is very disconcerting. One is gaining weight because he's not satisfied just by filling his belly. The other is seriously losing weight because she doesn't like to eat anymore. Just another "minor" way that coronavirus is changing folks' lives.
Those types of light fixtures are usually in apartments where you spend at most a few years there, mainly living areas and bedrooms. They provide plenty of light at a low cost. The joke is basically, if you're living in place that has these as your primary source of lighting, you're unlikely making enough money to be affected by Biden's tax plan. Same goes for the popcorn ceiling.
Yes, I am aware of that. My entire post was furthering the joke. Sorry that was not clear. By the way (to complete the joke), although I recently replaced my "ceiling titty" with a beautiful glass light, I still do not make enough to be affected by Biden's tax plan, but people now think I do! Don't get me started on popcorn ceilings! My entire house has popcorn ceilings and my partner hates them. Also, my friends who are professional painters won't touch them.
Well compared to the black snot at soccer practice in the 80s, it probably didn't even touch the sides

No, they won't. If it's your place, you just gotta take it all off. We stripped my father-in-law's Florida condo and while messy, it was pretty easy. We did need a pro to re-mud the entire ceiling, but it looks pretty good now.
Yeah, the house was built in 1985, so we're probably just to rip out the dry wall and start over. Much, much faster and cheaper than stripping and patching.
