    I am with Brummie here, although I do dislike VAR less than I dislike all of other forms of sports video review. Especially basketball. It takes FOREVER for NBA reviews, and for game that have 113-111 scores? Give me a break.

    The answer to your second question is: absolutely, especially if the people killed are 'the right kind of victims'. After all, like the Baptist minister in Sacramento said the day after the Pulse nightclub shooting, those people 'had it coming to them for the lifestyle they chose to lead'. For my money, Hell's flames aren't hot enough for jerks like that, and 90% of them populate the Republican party,

    My brother got his Ph.D. in computer science a number of years ago. His dissertation was about AI, specifically trying to teach computers about irony and humor - the example I remember was a story about some hunters who were having fun capturing rabbits or some similar small critter, tying a stick of dynamite or similar explosive to the poor critter, lighting the fuse and letting the critter run away, which was all fun for them until one of the critters tried to hide under their truck. It got into some philosophical discussions about "what is irony" and "what is humor" and how do you teach a computer about those things - is that story about the hunters ironic? Is it funny? How do you explain such things to a person, much less a computer?

    There are plenty of examples of people claiming Donald Trump is funny - Scott Adams being an example - when many others (myself included) don't find him humorous at all.

    Rather than engage in a philosophical discussion about what humor is, I can say that I, personally, could tell that El Jefe and the others are not serious when they talk about Trump ********ing Ivanka. If you don't find it funny, that's fine - I don't think it's particularly funny myself, but I try not to think about that senile old man sticking his shriveled wee wee anywhere - but I immediately recognized that it's not a serious thought. Them posting about it doesn't mean that they believe it, nor does it mean that it's a conspiracy theory. And I'm not sure who picked you as the arbiter of what is serious and what is not - I didn't vote for you.

    I'm honestly not surprised if you know that type of person or two.

    I went to school with such a person and he was, a sheer hypocrite. We couldn't watch certain movies with him because they offended his faith. Later, he's at some party drinking and grinding on some poor woman. That sort of thing.

    Zappa's Catholic Girls is still relevant for a reason, too.

    Seriously, the concept is horrible. It is a horrible form of abuse and one of the most vile betrayals that a parent can commit. If Donald Trump actually did have sexual relations with his daughter, it's fairly safe to say that she should have regular appointments with a mental health professional who is qualified to deal with such trauma.

    But... we humans use humor as one of the ways of dealing with the truly awful. That's the reason why we saw Jeffrey Dahmer jokes, although there was nothing at all funny about what Dahmer did.

    I think hold harmless agreements are pretty common with regards to schools, especially with buses, field trips, certain events held at a school off hours. That being said, this one is for actual school hours which is probably a first. We signed something similar in order to use our pool this summer.
