So began season five this past Sunday. Some interesting developments with respect to Tara, Lafayette and Sookie; Alcides and Sam; Erik and Bill. Oh Russell will be making an appearance. I hope it's grand. Your thoughts? It was quite a good opening episode.
I thought it was okay - this is a collateral damage show for me in that I watch it because I'm in the room with someone who likes it, but did the show just go in syndication mode? Sure felt like it and the same thing sorta killed Entourage. Luckily it seems we don't need a separate book spoiler thread for this show I wonder if they stick to the source material (rhetorical question).
Well it suffices to say people clearly do not get as upset over this as with other programs. Read Game of Thrones .
I think TrueBlood left the book storyline by the wayside a long time ago. One thing the TV show does is take elements from characters and situations in the books and use them in other ways on the show. I'm afraid that the damaged vampire element is going to be transferred from Bubba to Tara because Pam mentioned the possibility of Tara being a ********tard due to missing half her brain. Pam had the best lines in the first episode and Erik and Alcide are still hot. Where did Jesus' body go?
Well thankfully Tara is not impaired. The backstory on Pam with Eric has been interesting. Salome, bring me the head of John the Baptist. Okay, that's a twist. Remind me never to try Lafayette's gumbo when he's in the spirit.
