Trouble with iPhone App

Hopefully @dark knight can get the admins attention. Your feedback seems to confirm a hunch I had that the fix is on the BigSoccer back-end, and hopefully a relatively simple one.

It sucks not being able to use Tapatalk for the first time in over a decade.

 

I forgot to mention - I have an Android phone, so it's not an Iphone issue.

Are any of those fora not housed on Bigsoccer or it’s related websites? If so, are those others still operating OK?

 

Not that you asked me, but all my forums on tapatalk still work. I did have this same problem with the shed end forum early this year, but I just deleted it off the app. Then it happened with another forum (as I mentioned, and which was fixed) and now bigsoccer.

If bigsoccer is interested in resolving the issue I think they need to open a help ticket with tapatalk. I hope they are, and do.

Just adding to the pile, but I'm having the same issue accessing BigSoccer on Tapatalk. It all stopped on 11/4 (on by my phone and iPad). Says I need to log-in, but the log-in attempt always fails.

On the bright side, I'm now getting into work about 45 minutes earlier everyday, since I rely on Tapatalk access to get caught up on BigSoccer stuff over my morning coffee.

Thanks for the update Janet. Myself and I suspect others are surviving by using the web GUI on our phones, but it's relatively clunky & painful.

But on rereading your post I am heartened by language that seems indicate intent on your parts to come up with some sort of amenable solution.

Also, I think many of us Tapatalk users would be interested to hear more specifics on the security/privacy concerns you've found with TT, if you have the time to share that. I'm wondering if TT is, or has become, inherently untrustworthy as an app, in general.

 

The Bigsoccer web UI regularly stalls the Chrome browser in Android, requiring an app reboot. It's a painful experience coming from Tapatalk.

Many of us have been using Tapatalk for years, and it became habitual. But if Bigsoccer has a legitimate reason to block it, then that raises the question: are there other/better free apps we might use as an alternative?

Any wisdom/experience with that would be much appreciated. Assuming that the admins aren’t poised to reenable Tapatalk.

 

Any chance of getting an update from @dark knight or @Janet H ?

 

Or, alternatively, does anybody know of a reputable app that could replace Tapatalk, one that’s compatible with the type of BBS software Bigsoccer uses?
