Of all the trophies an MLS team can win not every one is created equal. What kind of "point value" would you put on trophies since some are, how we say, more attainable than others.

Ranked below are the trophies based on how difficult they are to achieve IMHO. What point value should be placed on each?

    1. Champions League Cup ( __ points)
    2. MLS Cup ( __ points)
    3. US Open Cup ( __ points)
    4. Supporters Shield ( __ points)
    5. Voyageurs Cup* ( __ points)

    * = Sorry Canada, no offense but only 3 MLS teams to essentially dominate your national tournament means we can't judge team success just by number of trophies alone.

If 10 is the most difficult/prestigious and 1 is easiest/not important, I'd say something like...

    CCL - 10
    MLS Cup - 7
    Supporters - 6
    US Open Cup - 5
    Voyageurs - 2

Can we not include winning the Eastern and Western Conferences. There is a trophy for that. And your club's ticket is punched for MLS Cup.

Then there is the FIFA Club World Cup! Imagine being an MLS team to pull off that path to glory. A 12 pointer on the Richter Scale of merit right!

And while there are some trophies/Cups handed out between the arch rival cities and teams in MLS over the decades now, if your team is having a tough season than just defeating your classic rival is worth some points on any scale. More so if in a bad season and the rival is in a good season and your club can derail the rival's hopes at playoffs or the like.
