well, i havent been able to watch much tv at all since new years (stupid me joining the military) but it would appear as if comedy central has completely RUINED trigger happy tv... i mean, its awful now. really really awful. im quite pleased that TNN has picked up that tomouri or whomevers castle show though. ************ing class!
The made an American version of it. The same English guy is in it sometimes, but mostly its a couple of american guys and one woman. The stunts aren't as funny (though occasionaly they are funny) and the 'actors' aren't nearly as funny. Its still worth watching (I watch very little tv to begin with) but not nearly as good as the british original.
Is the 'Huge Mobile Phone' guy still in it? He was the best, when it showed a cinema or something, and suddenly there'd be a phone ringing followed by a shout of 'HELLO?!.... NO I'M IN THE CINEMA....NO IT'S RUBBISH!...WHAT?!... FIRE HIM THEN!!! OK, CIAO!!' Brilliance.
I love when there are Takeshi's Castle marathons on. Nothing better to kill a hangover than 5 hours of Takeshi! I'm glad i haven't seen the american version of trigger happy. It must be crap without Dom Joly
Not exactly......they made it even more funny than it already was. They voice over all the announcers, etc, and give them Amercian names, and call it The Extreme Elimination Challenge. It is a riot...
If he's the sizeable Pommie, then he's still on, although it's probably just some of the old stuff cut into these American versions. However, I've enjoyed these latest one's as well, but they've yet to come up with something as funny as the two guys in giant rabbit suits banging in public. I lose it everytime I see that one...
No, the original English guy is still in it (I guess his name is Tom Jolly), and in original sketches filmed in America, but now its in more of a supporting, fill-in role, with the two or three americans carrying most of the load. The woman I find particularly unfunny, but like I said before, I find its still worth watching. BTW I favor the squirrels beating people up to the rabbits banging...but I was always considered 'odd' as a child...
I don't see how they could make Takeshi's Castle more funny than it already was. I'll have to check this out.
Extreme Elimination Challenge is hilarious. it's on TBS i think. on the weekends. the voice overs are pretty damn funny. and what's funnier than uncoordinated japenese people falling down? oh yeah, my roommates and i are convinced that the contestants are boozed up before the show.
TNN on saturday nights at 9 i believe (funny what you can remember from a total of 20 hours tv watched since jan 7) the new THTV does suck though. youll see the atrocity when you visit this summer, brian, dont worry...
