IF we qualify I'd use the three overage spots on defenders When Darvin Chavez and Nestor Vidrio are your stand out young defenders well, lets just say there is a reason why the U-20 last year didn't qualify to the U-20 World Cup
lets not forget Kristian Alvarez. he's a solid defender with good size and built. he was captain of the Sub-17 last year. i'm sure he will be part of that Olympic squad
I'd take Marquez, Osorio, and Salcido to the olympics. That can be their last international tournament. I'd feel pretty confident about getting gold lol.
Mexico U20 squad topped their group, which included the US U20, Eintracht Frankfurt & Vancouver WhiteCaps, with three wins, four goals scored and two against.
How is the Olympic cycle comming along (U-23)? Is there even a coach for that team? They should have hired one after Hugo was fired to work with the 18-19 year old kids that will be the base of the 2012 O. team. I think that the womens youth system is doing a better job in Mexico than the mens system. which is perhaps a good thing!
yeah, seriously who the hell is coaching the Sub 17, 20, & 23 teams?? Chucho was in charge of all 3 until he decided to go coach Amierdica Rene Isidoro Garcia was in charge of the Sub-17 team, but was just a few days ago named as Atlante's new coach i swear, that these youth squads are just like any other FMF team where they have a coaching chang eevery couple of months it seems
For the tourney in Chile a few month ago, they were coached by Raul Gutierrez. I think he was coaching the Sub-15 a couple years ago, as well.
i started a WC sub 17 thread but didnt know this was here. Starts September 5th Group 1 Trinidad and Tobago Chile Nigeria NKorea Group 2 Germany Mexico South Africa SKorea Group 3 New Zealand Venezuela Spain Japan Group 4 R of Ireland Brazil Canada Ghana
