Sure... Next thing he will suit for the nads. We can't keep posting about these dual nationals who aren't cap-tied.

I don’t mind. It’s not like this forum is overflowing with activity.

Anyone know what channel they are showing the Toulon semifinal game today against France?

Get that app TUDN has been talking about, it's called VIX, it says they'll be showing it.

Just saw the highlights, la defensa hizo agua, and the keeper (altho he had some good stops) was not stellar, he spit one relatively easy one, and was mediocre on the another one.

    oh well.

There’s just no comparison between the two teams… some of them have regular minutes and some are regular starters for their clubs in Ligue 1 and our guys… well they have to “cumplir sus procesos”:rolleyes:

To be fair after Panama tied them 0-0 in the 1st match, they crushed Saudi Arabia 5-0, Argentina 6-2 and now Mexico. In the Saudi Arabia game, they tone it down because it should have easily ended 9-0 if they wanted to.

Also the "embarrassing" Venezuela just made it to the Toulon final in their 1st participation. Mexico will play Colombia for the 3rd place finish.

Once again the biggest problem was defensive midfield and right back. Naveda was bad the first half and Pizzuto was worse... any back four has to have the protection of the defensive mid and it was non-existent. France is at different level to this Mexican team to be fair.

Not impressed with Pizzuto in any of the games tbh.

Dude’s gotta milk his little Erasmus trip in Europe as much as he can. Only a matter of time before the youth WC shine wears off.

Liga MX should really bring back that rule that all clubs must play 20 year old players for a minimum amount of minutes each season, but lower it to 18

But we all know that’s not gonna happen because the people running the league are complete idiots

He was only good against Indonesia, but he outright awful the rest of the games. Both he and Naveda look out of form and have suffered terrible injuries last year... so hopefully they can improve with more games under their belt this season. I have higher hopes for Naveda than Pizzuto. Holguin looks like a low ceiling goalie, I don't like goalies who are constantly yelling like crazy, I feel after awhile defender just tune those type of guys out. You need to be assertive and a leader, but lets not confuse screaming and cussing at everything as being one.

I really like Efrain's educated left and passing vision. He seems he would play great with two mobile wings and play behind the cenger forward. Muñoz showed potential, as well as Herrera. I think Welke is an interesting target player.

Efraín Álvarez reminds me so much of Julio Gómez.

Holds his own in the youth teams but simply doesn’t have the athleticism to keep up with adults.

I'd like to see him leave MLS and see how he performs in a leagues like the eredivisie or primeira liga.

Ithink they are totally different players. Julio Gomez did not have the vision nor the great technique Efrain has. They are both below average athletically, but in futbol IQ and there is no comparison, plus Alvarez is strong, hard to push off the ball. Julio was all hustle, energy, effort type of guy with subpar technique.

I’m willing to bet Efra Álvarez fades into obscurity in a couple years. He’s just too limited physically.

Lets return to this conversation in a couple of years, it will be interesting. I think he will have an impact on the National team. He has too much vision and passing ability and a good shot, plus he is already playing against better athletes in MLS.
