Is he injured? This looks like one last look at a few fringe players but even so I don't get Marcel Ruiz and Nene Beltran who did not have active seasons. There were plenty of fringe players who actually played.
Seems like the Olympic squad is not Martino's priority. No Montes, Arteaga, Cordova, Jorge Sanchez, Edson Alvarez, Lainez, Antuna, Alvarado, Charly, etc. I'm assuming that Tata's bracing for the inevitable cancellation. Would be pretty disappointing if we go to the Olympics with this team.
The Olympic team will have friendly games as preparation prior to the tournament. These games are most likely being used as a final tryout for fringe players. I wouldn’t read too much into this.
