Trezeguet has laid the blame for the loss on Lippi, not his pathetic "display".

If we can find a suitable replacement for Trez I say go for it, he was abysmal this season and has no place complaining about anyone else.

    Trezeguet

Lippi has made mistakes this year, especially in the Final. But he wasn't on the field (one could argue that Trezeguet wasn't on the field either), he should keep his mouth shut. Juve doesn't need him!

Welcome juve1975 (the first team I followed and my year of birth, cool!) any suggestions on who would replace Trez?

Pericard anyone? perché il promettentissimo attaccante francese era stato seguito con attenzione in estate anche dal Barcelona e dai Glasgow Rangers, naturalizzato francese, gioca da gran protagonista nelle Portsmouth.

Maybe he's not quite good enough to see playing time at Juve though. I would think they'll let him spend another year at Portsmouth (this time in the Premier League) or bring him back to one of the smaller clubs in Serie A.

    Well

If you were to tell me 2 weeks ago Juve would take it to penalties vs. Milan without Nedved I would be happy. Trez lashes out frustrated and makes a fool of himself so what. The last two matchdays Trez was CLUTCH and a HUGE part of Juve's win against madrid. He is a goalpoucher and a somewhat creative one at that and would very tough to replace. No shame in losing to a trophy hungary Milan although I wish it wasnt so. Lippi comes out and says win the CL or im leaving next term isn't this as arrogant? Dunno loved this season though. Dont knee-jerk on Trez so much he's had one bad season I think every player is entitled to that.

    true!

Lippi Could Quit Juve Next Season

Juventus coach Marcello Lippi says he will step down if the Bianconeri do not win the Champions League next season.

"There are two ways to react to this defeat," he said following the penalty shoot-out loss to Milan. "You can give up or try again next season.

"We'll give it our best shot once more and if we win it then I will remain here. If not I will wave goodbye and spend more time with my grandson."

I don't know. If someone came along with $40 or $50 million for Trezeguet now, he'd be history. I don't know how much I would miss him.

I think we should keep in mind that Trezeguet had a variety of injuries this season that inevitably affected his performance. He still managed to score several goals, including the vital first goal in the 2nd leg against Real Madrid. I think with an offseason of rest he'll be back in top form next season. He's a finisher of the highest order and I think we would be foolish to let him go. But...every player has their price.

However, with a depressed transfer market I just dont see him leaving Torino this off season.

According to the TuttoSport, Bobo Vieri will be joining Juve while Trezeguet will make a move to Valencia.

A couple other places have made mention of Trzeguet moving to Valencia.

Actually there are a few sources, they all claim that Valencia have officially offered 37.5M for Trez...

Sporting Life is one of them.

there were times he played so poorly i thought he was throwing the game.
his pathetic excuse for a pk didn't help matters.

    lol good question.

Funny that Valencia offers that incredible amount of money since they're broken, the elections is a head to head race between Ortí and Cortés and they're arguing about the financial hole they will face once they're elected.

They already played together in Monaco, they'd do it fine.

Because I like the pic of him shushing the crowd. I also made it as my avatar back when the season was still in action.

    worth

I agree he isn't worth that much but that is what Valencia or Arsenal is apparently willing to pay for him.
