Hey guys - I'm on a business / vacation trip to LA and will be in town for the Real Salt Lake game on September 6th. I'd like to see the HDC and was wondering if any of the supporters groups tailgate or anything before the game. If you can see it in your heart to have a Crew fan hang out with you pre - game let me know. The favor will be returned if you are ever in Columbus for a game. Thanks everyone!
We all meet up at Mother Load in West Hollywood before matches. Get there two hours before kickoff, and then we take a shuttle to the stadium. http://www.yelp.com/biz/motherload-west-hollywood
I'll also be at the RSL game on the 6th...wearing an RSL jersey. Apparently there are no groups of Salt Lakers coming to the game, so if I'm the only person wearing red and waving Salt Lake flags (yes, I have some big flags), I should probably sit in a tamer section of the stadium...suggestions on what areas to avoid?
people will give you crap, but no one will get in your face. weve tailgated w/ Rapids and Toronto fans that have visited LA with no problems, if you want somewhere to hang out look for ACB (Angel City Brigade) in lot 13 across the street from the fire sttion before the game. sections 116-118 is where most away fans have sat, ACB is in section 121, Galaxians and 123, LARS 138 the rest of the areas are calm
I don't know if the security will let you in with a flag or flags, they do not allow us to have flags, but being a vistitor they probably will allow it, as they have allowed Sh*tvas fans to have flags when they are the visitors. Sections 121, 123, 137, and 138 are Supporter Sections; any where else will be OK for you. Feel free to join the Angel City Brigade in Lot 13 on the grass across from the Fire station for tailgate before and after the game.
See you guys this Saturday. If you see someone walking around in a bright yellow Columbus Crew Jersey - thats me. Our seats are in 140. I wanted to be near one of the supporters groups to see you guys in action. Good luck LA!
Hey all, Thanks for the advice re: ticketing and everything. I had an awesome time smuggling in PVC for a flagpole but security didn't seem to mind after I'd gotten it set up--kinda showed up late though, the parking situation is ridiculous, but I'm looking forward to coming to more games, and will take you up on the tailgating offer next time.
Fans may be friendly, but it doesnt mean we like you. Just that wed expect the same treatment from a team that is in the same boat as us. Its just the nice thing to do. Thank god we cant get relegated.
7 Rapids fans coming to the game this Saturday! I am currently living in L.A., but 4 are flying in for the game. Most of us are members of a supporter club for the Rapids in Denver called Class VI. We love to tailgate and drink some beers. Looking for Galaxy fans to enjoy tailgating festivities with. If this is possible, please email me at bassanine@hotmail.com Thanks!
The Riot Squad with Class VI Both ACB and the Riot Squad are on the grass strip along Victoria Street in Lot 13 of the Home Depot Center. See you there.
HA! That's great. That is me in the Class VI in the background on the left in shades and the maroon adidas jacket talking to my lady. Proof that I do exist! I will definitely make my way over to Lot13. Thanks guys!
The Riot Squad welcomes all visitors from across the nation (and through our travels, we have State Department-worthy photos). We hate your team, but you are friends. I have some bloody-mary's weighting for you. tm lars
Calorie infused Bloody-Mary's. Well done sir. Fatten up the opposing fans so they appear lethargic in the HDC. See you all saturday.
I only use the highest-fat-content vodka in the world. Depending on my budget, it's either ABSOLUT FÄTT, GREY DODO, or BUTLER BELVEDERE. To hell with skeletons.... you know... like Posh Spice. tm lars
For the record, EastLAChiva has been a friend of mine for 8 years. Not only will no harm come his way, but if you see him, it's mandatory you offer him a drink. Put it on my tab and I'll pay you later. Tommy Mack LA Riot Squad
