You don't have to become a member of a supporters club. US Soccer, American Outlaws and Crew season ticket holders will all be given first right for tickets though before there is any public sale. It's the risk you get to take as a ticket buyer.
I am a proud member of the American Outlaws and the $20 I spent on my membership is well worth it for access to tickets in the best section in the stadium. Cheers.
Information has not been released yet other than people being told that this would take place in "June." My guess is that after the game next Tuesday in SLC, ticket info will be sent out to the priority lists (US Soccer Supporters, AO, Season Ticket holders). That's just my guess though.
But it's a risk that shouldn't be there. Why isn't there a pre-sale for "people who went to the last 3 Mexico games in Columbus"? American Outlaws didn't even exist during some of the games I went to, why do they get first dibs at tickets ahead of someone like me? It's like "thanks for supporting us when no one cared, but now that there are more people interested you can ******** off while we accommodate all these new people who are willing to pay more". It is "lame".
I am going to arrange a tour for AO members who make the trek to Columbus of Ohio Stadium, the revered home of the Ohio State Buckeyes. It will cost $10 a person (have to guarantee $100) and last about an hour and a half. I am planning on having it the taking place late morning early afternoon of game day before everyone heads over to the tailgate. So what does everyone think, some of you intersted. http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/facilities/ohio-stadium-tours.html
this is truly one of the dumbest things I've read on big soccer. thats quite the accomplishment considering some of the nonsense that gets spewed here. I saw my first USMNT game in 1989. do I deserve first pick at tickets for every match?
Yes this guys complaint is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever read. It is like some Irish guy complaining that he used to pay $10 bucks to see U2 and stand in the front row of a half full pub in Dublin in 1978, and because of that he shouldn't have to pay $200 bucks to see them now.
I will support the Stars and Stripes til I die regardless of my Canadian citizenship. I have been to 10 games overall and plan at being at atleast three more by the end of the year including the Gold Cup in Hartford and Mexico in Columbus. Great times for sure.
I saw my first USMNT game back in 1994, US Switzerland at the Silver Dome , World Cup '94. Looking forward to Crew Stadium on the Sept. 10 and all the events around it. When tickets go on sale I will be buying one and making the trek down from Toronto.
For what it's worth they did the same thing for this for Seattle and Denver and US supporters club members got in 24 hours before Sounders and Rapids season ticket holders.
so the very first tickets were released in the form of a raffle last night at the Chicago Grant Park watch party. Only two of them, and the woman sitting directly in front of me got them, but still a sign from USSF that release is obviously near.
El tri complained that there was no snow in assteca on gameday and we're replaying that game!? News to me!!
