Anyone taking the NJ Transit train down to Philly from NY or NJ on Saturday? Wouldn't mind "tailgating" on the ride down with others.
I think most will be staying in center city. I'm staying at the Radison. Rooms are usually around 150. I had a code and got it for 105. Sorry code is now expired. If you call and tell them what your there for and all your friends got it at that rate then they may give you the hook up. I had a friend get a room last week like this.
I just emailed Chris from AO. He said the march will probably begin at 1:30 from from McFadden's. I think this is a little bit late and would like to get in there to get better seats. Since Lot M has been designated the official Big Soccer tailgate lot, I propose that we do our own march in, say 1:00. There has been a lot of chatter of dissapointment of the AO selection of McFadden's and I agree. If we get all of lot M together at 1:00, it will be a large contingency. Anybody want to do this, my tailgate is about 25 people, so we would have at least that many?
I'm digging the fact the lot M is becomming the unofficial official tailgate. I was originally a little bummed when I heard that Mcfaddens was the location of choice.
Whats any different then when Ruby's was used as the prematch party at US vs Mexico? Good Specials, Good People, Great Time!
It's the beggining of June on a beautiful day. I'd perfer to be outside with the sunshine and Sammy A that doesn't run 6 bucks. The screaming eagles tailgates for the national games are as close to perfect as I've seen. People should try to model their setup
Does anyone know what time the parking lots open? I know at RFK it is usually 4 hours before the game, but I've never been to The Linc before.
Are we going sing the same boring overused MLS copycat songs over and over again on Saturday (vindaldoo and we love ya)? Or are we going to try some new songs? \ Its $4 guniess. Not imports. I prefer the tailgate format for the pre game. I know the screaming eagles hook it up and I'm pretty sure Hartford is doing the same. The nice thing is it looks like we now have options. If your not crazy about the Mcfadden setup then you can tailgate in lot M with others who like tailgating. If you want to go to Mcfaddens then you have the choice of that as well.
Steve Goff is reporting that we are above 43,000 tickets sold for the match on Saturday. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/soccerinsider/
Well unless someone needs a share, I can't quite afford a whole hotel to myself eh... But I appreciate the reply anyway!
An article I read two days ago said the count was above 50,000 http://www.trentonian.com/articles/2010/05/23/sports/doc4bf9aec85e6d5327608978.txt
I have two tickets in section 130. I am looking for what I paid for them. $28 each. The section is General Admission so if you can find another ticket you still can sit together. PM me if you are interested.
and I could be that "one" you need. I had a guy drop from my group so I have one GA supporters section ticket. would have to arrange meeting up though. PM me if interested.
Someone on facebook said a ticket rep told them less than 10,000 tickets remain... so approximately 58,000 sold if thats to be believed.
Go to the bar, or go to the tailgate. Do whatever you wanna do. But please, please please, lets all march in together. It looks cooler that way, and chances are US Soccer and ESPN will be recording it. No sense trying to start division.
