Just heard about this a little while ago. Checked my schedule and afaik my daughter doesn't have any games that weekend. We'll have to see if we can organize a bus or something from Tampa.

    Stadium?

Interesting to see the US now scheduling a host of CONCACAF teams and other relatively similar mid level teams (Belgium-Ecuador).

The corporate sponsor names always throw me off - is that where the Dolphins play?

So, including Sun Life Stadium and the Orange Bowl there are something like 7 different stadiums in Miami?

Orange Bowl is no longer there (though the Orange Bowl college football game in January is played at Sun Life). They're building a new stadium for the Marlins where the Orange Bowl was. Lockhart and FIU are the only two stadiums I can really think of in South Florida besides Sun Life though.

I think October 8th will be a great time to head back to the old stomping grounds and tear it up for a weekend (went to law school at The U). Everyone bring a nice sportcoat with your AO shirts and US jerseys...we going clubbing afterwards!

You should plan to rent a car if you're coming in for this game. If you're looking for lower price accoms but want to be in south beach, try the south beach hostel. Also, the Catalina Hotel usually has good rates.

I live in Miami and am happy to help coordinate some festivities.

Without traffic, you can get from downtown WPB to Dolphins Stadium in about 40-45 minutes. With traffic, may be closer to an hour. Certainly doable, though.

Was just checking flights from Tampa, although there's a good chance we'll caravan or something down there. Flights are around $179 into Miami. Might be a few dollars cheaper on SWA into Ft Lauderdale, but not by much (one way was $79, not sure if that's pre-tax).

Not to get to the stadium. The only option is driving, really.

Forget that...the purpose of the Metrorail was to take people from the most populous parts of the city to the airport. Where does it end? A mile from the airport. You have to take a bus of the rest of the way. #FAIL
