Good afternoon all, I just purchased my flight tickets on Ryanair for 80kr which comes out to about US $16. I just thought that I would let everybody know who is interested in making the trip out to Denmark. I will probably stay at the Radisson SAS in the city since it is the nicest hotel out there. I hope that everyone will join.
wait, Ryanair flys from NY? I'm looking for anyone seeking to travel from the UK if you're up for it I'd like to hook up.
Hey MJ - Just replied to your post on my "wall". I'd love to do this, but the midweek thing makes it tough for me. Perhaps we could hook up for the Nov 14th friendly if they announce it soon. If not, for sure the next (weekend) friendly in Europe. Netherlands next Spring? I've got a friend from California coming over on the 31st and I've got tickets for Fulham v Liverpool that afternoon, so I've probably used my football pass from the wife for now, but would love to be a part of a group from the UK or Europe (or from wherever!) that go to matches over here.
i have been thinking about this one but it might tough for the midweek before thanksgiving. i find ryanair to be a bit dodgy usually, well completely dodgy to be honest. i know they were looking at starting US flights but i dont see this cheap fare anywhere? been looking at more traditional airlines and the prices arent really favorable.
Flights from Boston to Denmark are around $500 R/T for the duration of the FIFA international window.
Where are you flying from? If you're flying from NYC, tell everyone the link...I'd drive/bus up to NYC to catch a $16 flight to Denmark next month!
Sorry! I just reread my post. I was saying that flights on Ryanair directly to Århus are $16 on Ryanair from London. I will go through London to attend this match.
Grace Kim from US soccer sent me an email today saying there working on getting tickets for US fans going to Denmark for this match....My birthdays the same week...That will be a nice way to celebrate..lol Is the Radisson in Arhus? How much is it a night to stay there?
For anyone attempting to go from the States, what prices are you finding? I'm finding tickets to be very expensive from DC (both leaving 11/17 and returning 11/19 as well as leaving 11/16 and returning 11/22).
seeing about $800 to go into London and then Ryanair onto Arhus....but i havent been able to find the ultra-cheap fares yet that Haifa did....its looking unlikely for me to make this trip unless prices change or i find an excuse to get to europe the weekend before....
I think this is definitely the way to do it. Or fly to Amsterdam and drive up. Even flying to Århaus from as nearby as Berlin is over 200 Euros. Stateside, someone told me about Megabus which drives up to New York for like 10 bucks a passenger. Then you could probably find cheaper flights to Europe from there.
Ok Pal, I'm finished in Bath now and in between gigs so a bit easier for me. I'll hold back though for the Nov 14th friendly to see if it's around. I hear ya on the UK group thing, we ought to start one (does one exist already? ...anyone...anyone). I think it would be great to meet up for the flight/ferry over and stuff - road trip.
FIFA is listing Bratislava for a Slovakia friendly.... http://www.fifa.com/associations/association=usa/fixturesresults/gender=m/index.html#

Atletion Official WebsiteIt seems that there is a track around the pitch of the stadium. So if that makes a difference to people, just be warned. For those that do not wish to purchase tickets via the USSF, according to the Dansk Boldspil-Union ticket information you can purchase tickets via Billetnet.dk, which is a subsidiary of Ticketmaster. The cheapest I found on that website is 220kr which is roughly $44 before all the convenience charges etc. So the best option is probably to purchase via the USSF.
Anyone else having trouble with the AO discount code on Continental? It's not registering for me...not that any discount will help the price I found...$3200 from DC to Denmark alone. Not pretty at all.
