Where are people tailgating pre-4pm? I thought this was mentioned before, but I couldn't find it. I am going to be in East Hartford with my buddy and we need some place to start the festivities that isn't a bar. We have beer, already.
Hey mate, we're at the Holiday inn near the stadium in east hartford. Definitely not going to the damon's for the pre-game party...it's on the other side of town nowhere near the stadium unfortunately. We've got some brews as well.
Anyone looking for a ride to the game from downtown Hartford PM me. I work in Hartford and will be leaving around 3:45. I can fit 2 people. You'll need to get your own ride back.
Im in Sellersville until 4 and I am wondering if its worth a rushed drive up. I dont think there is enough time.

I'm stuck working, but saw some soccer fans already walking around downtown. Probably check Vaughan's and McKinnon's. They've very close to each other. I'll stop over for dinner.
Any place where I can get the squad numbers of the players? Will there be a program sold at the event?
USA v Czech 5/25 in East Hartford Nice to see the AOs congregated in Lot 9, as well as the SA old-schoolers! Apparently not sold-out. Crowd was announced at 36,218 & capacity is reported at 40K. But, all sections were pretty full. No usher at the rear of 109, so my group was able to walk in, although our seats were elsewhere. Good noise level, especially after out second goal. Everyone standing on the bleacher seats, which were wobbly! Hope to see many of you again Saturday in Philly!
I am of the opinion that US soccer should not have anymore games in Hartford. I have a number of reasons for this: 1. The parking situation sucks. There were only two entrances into the parking lot. Getting out of there was a nightmare last night 2. I am tired of stadiums like Hartford that don't allow US soccer supporters groups like AO to bring in musical instruments like drums and horns 3. No Flags with poles. Stupid rule. US Soccer should have a private entrance for the US Supporters groups so that they can get this stuff into the stadium and into our area. I was disappointed they wouldn't allow this last night. 4. What was up with those giant silver pylons that are used for pointy-ball? Can't they take those down!?! It was right in front of the US Supporters area killing the view. 5. College campus- one beer per patron rule blows. 6.. The men's room situation was worst, and I am comparing it to Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia. Why would they have 4x's the amount of Women's bathrooms to Men's rooms??? Are there more female sports fans in New England that are UConn football and not Soccer fans? The lines were ridiculous. 7. The curved bleacher seats, great for football, not so great for standing on. Plus no place to hold your one beer. Hopefully US Soccer will see the success of this game and the Philly game this weekend that they can transition to the larger stadiums and draw the pro-US crowd. Or have them in a soccer specific stadium like Red Bull Arena or PPL Park so that we can bring in instruments and flags.
