    Ok! Now that it's official.
USA v Czech Republic 5/25 at the Rent.

For those who have not been to a match in East Hartford, it is an awesome venue. Probably the best non-SSS venue in the northeast!

I was told by AO Hartford that they have set up another block party in downtown Hartford for this game! Not sure if there will be shuttles like the last time we had a big match here. More info on that will come soon I am sure.

Do not miss the block party. Come to Hartford for the whole day. I strongly suggest staying downtown if you're getting a hotel room and if you want to drink and don't want to drive. Last time supporters were on Pratt Street starting around 11am and then again until well after the match socializing. Shuttles and buses should be available.

I will have at least six members of the SCB flying out for this one.

Any recommendations on where to stay? Just anywhere downtown ?

Residence Inn will put you at the top of Pratt Street. Marriott is newer/nicer but it is a short walk from Pratt Street. Hilton is another option, but that place is upscale camping at best.

Besides those just mentioned, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Express, and Homewood Suites are all downtown. Staying anywhere downtown is an easy walk to Pratt Street because Hartford is very compact. You won't need to rent a car and can take the shuttle or a bus/cab to the stadium. There is also a Sheraton and Hampton Inn across the river in an office park which is walkable to downtown. There is also a Holiday Inn near the stadium in East Hartford, but the area around it is not at all pedestrian friendly.

"but the area around it is not at all pedestrian friendly" That is not true. There are sidewalks and police to stop traffic to safely cross the busy main street. I will admit it's not 2-acre zoning but it is an easy walk.

From the locals, what's the transportation like between Hartford and Philly? I'm not going to rent a car, so public transit only.

Amtrak or bus. Union Station in Hartford handles both and is downtown within walking distance to hotels. There is also a free downtown shuttle that goes around every 15 minutes until 11pm.

Tickets are now available through The American Outlaws for this game...

AO Hartford has been in touch with some hotels in the area; we are hoping to get a group rate for supporters.

I will most likely be staying at the Marriott right there downtown.

Can someone elaborate on this block party?

Seriously, how luck are we as east-coasters? Hartford and then Philly for US games in one week!!!

Last time, Vaughan's had arranged with the city to actually shut down some streets in downtown and they had exactly what it sounds like, a block party. Unfortunately I was only able to stop by briefly, but it seemed like it was awesome. The AO folks I am sure will have all the details in the next few days.

There is not a bad seat in the house at Rentschler field (coming form someone who has been to 20+ events there in the last 3 years). Can't wait for this game!

What sections are the best for fans who would want to stand and chant during the game?

Supporters section behind the goal. Buy your tickets from a supporters organization, not through a ticket agency. Otherwise you can't guarantee the people around you won't mind. Wolfp1 posted a link earlier to the American Outlaws who are selling them and I'm sure Sam's Army is doing the same. Also, please respect the implied general admission nature of those sections, first come first served. They have used section 109 in the past.

I bought six tickets in a supporters section for family and friends. I didn't even check to see if they mind standing the whole time. Whoops...
