    Hey all,
quick question is there any sort of public transport from Newton to Gillette?
A friend and I are coming in to see the US vs. El Salvador match on the 4th of Septmeber and I would like to not drive from our hotel which is on Grove St. in Newton.
Anyhelp will be greatly appreciated thanks!

None that I know of. However, it is only about a 30 minute drive from Newton to Gillette. Route 128 South to Route 1 South.

This is a doubleheader, and traditionally the MBTA (the public transit authority here) has run trains to the stadium for special matches. They haven't said anything about it yet, as far as I know. Trouble is, even if they do run one from South Station, you'll get to and from the stadium with little time to congregate and meet other people, and that's no fun.

However, you're not completely sunk. As it gets closer to the day of the game, check back here and you'll most likely see people offering rides from various train stations around town. Chances are good that one of us here will be happy to hook you up.
