No big new names, no big losses. Of course the Margairaz transfer is the most interesting from a Swiss point of view. And Basel let go of another big talent for very little.

    Here's some interesting new names:
    Thorsten Kirschbaum
    Mario Kirev
    Mohammed Yusuf
    Ezequiel Oscar Scarione
    Alain Schultz
    Jérôme Thiesson
    Enes Fermino

Roland Linz could be a hit or miss. Afonso? I think it's to late for him to become NT material, especially at a crazy club like Sion.

Looks like Hakan Yakin is out of favor with the owners at Al Gharafa. Not something out of the ordinary, foreign players in the Gulf leagues come and go.

Inler is now rumored in connection with Inter Milan.

didn't know that David Sugar who moved to AS Roma is half Swiss. At least, we're not lacking young goalkeepers

    New thread needed.

Zurich sign Gajic (Luzern) and Raphael Koch (Solothurn) for next season.

Basel have signed young Ghana international Samuel Inkoom and Jacques Zoua Daogari, a young Camerounese striker, is on the way in.

    Greetings!

I didn't want to open a new thread just to ask about a specific player, so I figured I would post my question here. I was just wondering how Eduardo Rubio was doing for Basel. He's no longer in the NT picture, anyway (we have a couple of better players in his position) but we haven't gotten too many news regarding him in the past few months so I was just curious to see how his Swiss experience had gone. :)

Thanks in advance for any info!

    Hey
Rubio has only got 9 league appearances til now (4 starts) and has scored 2 goals (also 3 CL appearances). I don't think the expectations on him were that high and Basel have a lot of good attacking players.

With that said I don't think he's been a total flop, he got picked in team of the week once. Don't think Basel will keep him though
