Funds the £85M signing of Mateus Fernandes from West Ham. I saw this on Twitter. At the start of the window, we all would have jumped at the chance to trade those four players for Fernandes. Great business.

I dont think I would have. I really rate Vuskovic. I'm not suggesting that's horrible business, as I understand the dynamics at play, and it's hardly as if we've been left short at centerback. But I suspect there's going to be a point within the next few years when we're looking wistfully at what should have been ours. Oh well, we move on.
The only way I can see Kane coming back is next season if he does not extend with Bayern this season AND only if we look like a team that can compete. Finish in the Champions League and actually look like a team ready to try winning serious trophies.

Eff me, that's cheap. He's got three years left on his deal, which reportedly has a 60m euro buy out clause (specifically for the Spanish 'big three'). So, if 35m pounds equals around 40m euros (I'm guessing), we're moving him on at two-thirds what valued him at last summer (when he penned his new deal). Don't get me wrong, I know why we want rid, and motivated selling will always drop the price. But 35m? We ought to be able to pull more for him. Still, getting it done quickly is worth something. Lament/celebrate Daniel Levy not being in charge as one sees fit.
Romero is not the type of personality you want to build your team around. I'll be happy to see him go.
