I think it's a little strange, too - because most players want to play and it seems he would be third choice at either left back or center back. But it's OK with me - he's an experienced player who loves the club, no transfer fee, and he's homegrown. It would be hard to find that package elsewhere.
Not sure why we want to waste a squad spot for someone who will only play if everyone ahead of him gets injured. I mean, why did we buy Souza? These kinds of roster decisions are why we've finished 17th the last 2 seasons. If he's going to be a coach, send him off somewhere to get experience.
I believe he and his agent have said he is not ready for the PL and would like another season out on loan, which makes sense because he is not likely to get much playing time behind a potential defence of Porro-Van Hecke-Senesi-Vdv, with Danso, Dragusin, and Spence in the picture. I would expect Romero to be sold. Brighton asking for 70 million pounds. Let's see if Uncle Joe and his cronies meant what they said in their propaganda messages.
Not ready for the Prem? Please. He's the best defender in the Bundesliga. He'd stroll into our back line. He just doesn't want to. The excuses change week-to-week ... wants to play with his brother ... not ready for the Prem ... needs to play ... wants to play for Barca or Madrid ... 'don't wanna talk about it until after the WC' ... the only thing you don't read is that he's looking forward to playing for Spurs. You can bet his agent isnt telling Barcelona - with whom he's reportedly speaking - that he's not ready. The only good thing about extending his loan is that it'll give us a season to prove to him that we're not really the 17th-place shite that he presumably believes us to be.
Remember when we didn't have enough CBs at the club, and Ange kept telling us that no club has 6 CBs? Now we're debating about whether we should recall Vuscevic. That's an improvement (until they all get injured...)
If you really wanted to get Vuskovic another year of experience, wouldn't it make sense to loan him to a EPL team to prepare for playing for us? He's already done the Bundesliga, so playing for Bayern would be more of the same.
What I've heard is that Hamburg play in a low block so Vuskovic's lack of speed has not been tested. Ideally he would try a team with a higher line to see how he gets on. If he's going to go straight to a really big team then we should get a very large payoff.
Unfortunately, Lange is speaking about the transfer, which means he is still at the club, and has likely survived another disastrous season. Not a good development.
Savinho rumors are heating up. 60m Euros, or thereabouts. Not sure how I feel about that ... but I suspect City fans are pleased enough.
Club officially announced that Davies is back for another year, Bissouma is out. Still no official announcement of Senesi, but hopefully that's just because he hasn't been in London to do the usual photos and interviews (his medical was done in Spain).
It be all official like: Senesi signed and will wear no 5. https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/1072863/senesi-switch-sealed
Golara Fun Fact™: Marcos Senesi completed more through balls in the 2025-26 season (10) than the entire Tottenham team (8).
We don't have a "no transfer" thread, so... Farbrizio Romano is reporting that Pedro Porro has signed a 5 year contract.
Van Hecke deal has received the "here we go!" 52 million pounds. Two center backs and a left back, all proven in the premier league - that's how you fix the defense.
