With Hojbjerg's departure, Ange has blown up the infamous Leadership Group of Kane, Lloris, Dier and Hojbjerg. It shows once again how footballers can talk a lot of nonsense. He turned down Fulham last summer claiming that he wanted to play for a CL team. So much for that. I believe 11 players who were in the squad at the end of the 2022-23 season have been turfed out of the club. And there are still many who are surplus to requirements which shows how shockingly bad our recruiting has been in recent years.
Lots of sniffing going on until they talk to Levy, then there's a lot of coughing when they hear what he wants. Is anyone worried about our transfer window so far?
Romano reports we are getting Min-Hyuk Yang, 18 years old, the next H-M Son. Not a here we go yet... I like the youth movement!
On the verge of signing him but he won't come until January................I just don't understand that. The article said to give him time to develop with his present club. How much can he develop in five months?
Apparently the K league is like MLS - plays through the summer and not in the winter. So he will finish the season with his current club, then join in the January window. You can understand why his current club wouldn't want to sell one of their best players heading into the home stretch of their season.
Here we go...or there he goes... Bryan Gil loaned to Girona for the season, release clause is arranged if they want to make it permanent. I thought he would be good, but I was wrong. Couldn't stay on his feet. I hope he does well enough that they make it permanent; we don't need to keep dealing with this every year. Who's left? Lo Celso, Reguilon, Royal. Some signs Spence may stay.
I think we will remember this window as the one where we were lucky enough to get both Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall.
He was one of the u-21s, don't know much more. Seems others were ahead of him in making the step up, so he's looking for senior football elsewhere. Spanish 2nd Div seems reasonable. Good luck to him.
Solanke rumors hotting up a bit. £65m release clause seems wickedly over priced. Think I’d rather take a gamble on Toney at that price.
This is looking more and more like our non-window of 2018. Opening game is a fortnight away and we have signed no one of significance.
Because Liverpool have a sell-on clause and will due a cut of any fee. 19 goals for Bournemouth in the Prem is pretty good though. I'd rather have Solanke than Toney
This might explain why we have been asleep at the wheel in the transfer market. Herr Levy and Madame Cullen have been busy lining their pockets this summer. This is the real priority for ENIC: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c3g0gg62g3ro
That’s been in the works since earlier this year, widely publicized and largely considered a done deal.
