I'm just curious who are we scouting for if not Welbeck? We can't move into next season with Sesko Zirkzee as our strikers. Chido Obi is just 19 yr old kid and will probably leave on loan.

Rashford = 4 strikers for a one striker system.

Our depth chart as stikr is currently

    Sesko
    Cunha
    Mbeumo
    Zirkzee
    Chido
    Rashford.

    the wing depth chart is

RW : Diallo, Mbeumo, Dorgu, Lacey
LW : Cunha, Diallo, Dorgu, Rashford, Lacey

Wether the quality is enough, you could ask, but is it enough as far as numbers?

There is a whole lot of repeat in that depth chart.

Don't think we can even count Obi or Lacey due to age.

That's 6 into 3 positions, plus Rashford as a bit of a wildcard.

Personally, it's just so unbalanced (not just quality) that we have room for another. Preferably an out and out 9.

We only have on striker that's Sesko, Mbuemo Cunha ain't 9. Don't get me started on Rashford and Zirkzee is all rumored to be loaned out. Lacey n Obi are unproven at this level. Not promising given we will have so many games.

    No need to panic, yet.

agree with the above, don't panic.

however, i am not counting on Rashford and i hope the club aren't waiting to move him on before replacing.

personally, i'd get Nusa and worry about solving the Rashford issue later

After selling Diomande for over £90mil, they wont let Nusa go for cheap.

Current market is so shit that even PSG have been priced out of a move and they released statement over high transfer fee and wage demands.

Seeing lots of online chatter re the club looking to sell Amas for 6m. Seems shortsighted and very low.

my point was not the cost but rather don't wait on a sale to buy. Rashford is hard to shift regardless

Vitek pushed for this, so makes sense. He wanted playing time and loan, so we didn't have a huge choice.

Its a reasonable deal for us and we've protected ourselves with the buyback and sell on clauses.

Especially when we have just signed Tynan Thompson an 18yo from Spurs for upto £8m (£4m+£4m addons) who has not played a minutes adult football, when 19yo Amas has played 22 games, >1800 minutes in the Championship.

    For sure, £6m seems low.

We just sold an unproven keeper for £14mil. That is more like it. Amass should be very near that considering he's had at least half a good season.

Need a LB more than either of those positions. Considerably more in fact.

further to Amass, Tottenham just agreed a sale of £20m for one of their kids with some championship experience.

if Amass is actually meant to be sold then we could in theory get more than £6m

Yeah because rumours say that Dorgu will be wing depth. Add Rashford as a wild card and Lacey.

    We have bigger problems.

    Underwhelmed so far.

With Cas gone and Ugarte out for the season we are really no further forward in a season where with more games we need more depth.

Have to hope we do some late business to save this window from being another one of those where we don't back the new manager.
