Can Cunha adds enough goals? That money needs to go into someone who can bang them in. Can Delap? Maybe the analysts see some promising stuff, but @Sofabloke brought up a pretty damning stat. There are many areas that need fixing and there will need to be some tradeoffs, but a top goal getter is non-negotiable and he will cost big money.
after yesterday we could sign Cunha today and no one would care. every summer we ask what would qualify as a good summer window and i truly have no idea this time around. it might be the case that the faith is so low and because we are at a nadir that nothing in terms of transfers will get the fans excited or believing
and that's only assuming incomings. who knows how many want to leave after this. and i don't mean the crap ones i mean Yoro, Garnacho, Fernandes, Mainoo etc.
The club is briefing we have a 100m budget plus sales. No clue how truthful that is, but i doubt we have much to spend. This is going to be a long, long, painful rebuild. And I'm not even sure we'll ever get off the 1st or 2nd story of a big building.
If we are able to sell Rashford, Antony, Sancho hopefully that's another 100MM to our transfer kitty. Get us a dribbling Left sided 10 and a new striker
Allegedly, selling Rashford, Garnacho alone is enough to give us far more than that. Most of that being because of the home grown implication.
FFP doesn't even apply to us next year. It's PSR. Sancho, Rashford and Antony is 75m at best. But it's not really about this, it's about book values and how we can leverage that. That's why at least one, probably two of Bruno, Rashford, Garnacho and Mainoo will need to go. All four of them are worth a lot to us in terms of a sale that we can massively leverage on paper.
Sell Antony to La Liga club. Sancho to a German side. Garnacho to where ever and Rashford should get us an English player premium. 3 of 4 have worn out their welcome and Garnacho is gonna hurt but he is the one player that may get us 50 so a buy back clause is a must. They other 3 may get us 80. 40 for Rash and 25 each for the other 2. We need to buy Cunha and Jonathan David. I don't want DeLap, I would like a veteran goal scorer.
Fab is reporting Jerome Frimpong is going to Liverpool to replace TAA. I really wanted him to come to us. He is the kind of RWB we need.
This tactic of telling the world that a manager has fallen out with a player and wants him gone is working out fantastically in terms of us getting great money for them Also, gotta make room for sulky Rashford & sulky Sancho coming back on their monster wages too
Good signing on the face of it - EPL proven, mid-twenties, competitive, plays with a bit of fire, versatile, mobile, stamina, physicality, defensive workrate (for an attacker), pressing, dribbling and ball progression (issues for us), proven scorer in this league, good fit for one of Amorim #10s or #9 if needs be, no chronic injury history (though did have a hamstring injury). Intensity basically. Of course, this is us and we break good players However reasons to be optimistic. 🚨🇧🇷 Matheus Cunha to Manchester United, here we go! Verbal agreement in place between all parties involved.Cunha will sign deal until June 2030 with option until 2031. In Ruben's first offseason at sporting 25 players were let go by the club. I Want to be clear, 4 were sold, 17 were put on loan who were eventually sold and another 4 they let their contract expire. We can't match that but that's just an idea of what he means when he says Be brave. He is very confident in himself and his abilities and his system and I think what he's pushing the front office to do is to trust them and let go of a lot of players that don't fit.
Some unsubstantiated rumors were looking at Bryan Mbuemo! I'd take him over Semenyo easily! Im sure he'd have CL teams looking at him though.
