Window closes tomorrow evening I do believe. Heitingas wages may be a problem, apparently he's on 50k at the minute. I hope we can work something out.

If anyone remebers the Banega deal. We got a work permit, but Valencia want to keep him now I hear.

closes tomorrow as today is a British Bank Holiday, so the FA aquiesced and gave an extra day.

From quotes Moyes made it sounded almost like he wanted another four ON TOP OF the two we got... (Plus Jo :) so 3) but I'll be happy if he gets 2 more. COME ON MOYESIE!! make it happen!

I heard rumors that the Lescott deal involved Jo in some aspects anyone know if there was anything like that going on?

I think we have first refusal on Jo should we decide to buy him, though if that were to happen City would have to drop the asking price, there is no way Jo is worth 18 million anymore!!

As for any other deals I am not getting my hopes up, the Heitnga deal would be a good one but his wages would be a definite problem,

I' just hoping Moyes has some sneaky last minute deals line up that have slipped under the radar, but as I said I am not getting my hopes up!!!!!!!

The Heitinga deal is looking shaky, our wage structure proving problematic again,

The Banega deal also looks doubtful, was he ever actually for sale????

*closes eyes and says a quick prayer* we need a couple more players, reinforcements. please don't let monetary greed get in the way of players coming to our club. please send us people that will fit in, that will understand what it means to be a blue and who want to be here as much as we want them to be. Oh, and if you could make sure arteta is back soon, i'd appreciate that too... man is fine. ;) thanks!

ps: less than four hours left for this magick to happen. kthxbye!

I hope it comes through too. At this time though, I can't think we can get any players though unless its come completely out of the blue...

well, moyes does have a habit of getting outta the blue signings, but honestly I'd given up even on heitinger... :( let's just hope we get him. i mean 3 out of the four moyes wanted is actually GREAT for our team! though ******** kenright for saying he had funds all along. Moyes has only spent what we got for lescott at this point. it's such bullshit. just tell it like it is and not get our hopes up.

i hate lying assholes. just sayin'. hmph.

Rafael van der Vaart wanted to move to Everton, a "source close to Real Madrid" has claimed.

During the summer, it had looked like his future at Real was in doubt, and Everton made their interest known to the Spanish club.

Van der Vaart apparently wanted to come to Goodison Park, but when Real told him they wanted him to stay, he opted to play for the Spanish giants.

"He was only ever going to go to England, if he left the Bernabeu, and Everton were the only club who made direct contact," said the Daily Mail's source.

"He was very positive about joining them, but all that changed when Real called him in for a meeting and said they wanted him to stay."

    yeah 5pm GST . 2.5 hours to go :(

toffeeweb is sorta pissing me off - we have brought in three class players - better than the past few years' catches - and people are still bitching about "cover at best" (a 50 capped dutch international is only going to be COVER for hibbo/yobbo/pnev?)

it was nice in that several ppl laid the smack down on the downers, which is a pleasant change. but really... are we never satisfied? never happy that moyes is doing the best he can? grrr...

It is a tad annoying but you shouldn't ever settle. The pursuit of perfection is endless. Everything can be improved until we win everything! I'm happy with who we've purchased though, especially Heitinga if he comes.

You are an odd one I must say. I'm going from Sky Sports, OS, and ESPN and repeating that over and over.

Spanish paper Marca reports that Johnny Heitinga has joined Everton in a €7.5m deal. No news from the Premier League club as yet though

it's the greed of these players that sank some of the clubs around the world into massive debt. gotta keep those books balanced, especially for a club without much international exposure.
