Maraoune Felliani is close to signing for Everton, according to Sky Sports.

Good way to weaken our UEFA Cup opponents I guess :D Take their best midfielder ;) lol

have about 4 hours to go and this is ridiculous. we need at least 2 more mid fielders and we had better bloody get them or i'll have to start threatening going to england and slapping some fools again :p :D

cos that'd really make them quiver in their boots ;-)

    Yea ********ing Carlo Nash

Various Belgian websites though seem to confirm that Marouane Felliani will sign for Everton though a 5 year dear for 90.000 euros a month :D He seems to be the perfect DM we need, hopefully Castillo and him will be fit for Stoke :)

    Fee: 16 million euros= 13 million pounds

Two new d-mids, huh? Well, we need the bodies. I was really hoping for Moutinho or a pacey outside mid. Still, we got some needs filled. Now let's get some people healthy (come on Cahill and Pienaar!) and we can start the season in earnest.

Er....did we get Felliani? I've seen no confirmation on Everton's site or BBC.

Hmmm, call me over-cautious but I don't like the tone in the article:

"Everton and Standard are both yet to confirm the deal but should David Moyes have sealed the move then it will be something of a coup as Fellaini is one of the most highly-rated young midfielders in Europe."

Also, it never made it here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/7590492.stm

I want to believe, I do, but I'll be happier when I see it labeled official.

he's no Mr. Sexy Legs (arteta) or timmy C or even Joey Yobo, but he is far from ugly.

lol we can have him work on that... if that's the only complaint you have about him, then i say we did well to get him.

we will make it to january, I'm pretty sure, but if we don't get reinforcements then, the slide downwards will not be pleasant.

Looking forward to having a go at the supporters who were moaning that we weren't signing anyone because we were skint.

Well lets think about it this way.

have we improved really? I'm not sure.
Have other teams improved? A LOT.

We're in a lot worse shape than last year because of that. I'm not just talking about Citeh either...Spurs could flop this year, I can see that (the players they've bought look like a team that could win La Liga, but could suffer here). But look at Pompey, Villa, etc. they're all better than us at least depth wise... :(

Not to mention the fact that we've left ALL our signings to the last week, thus making sure that we lost our first two games and also making sure that we won't be playing to our potential for at least another month or two, not to mention the adjustments that will have to be made once saha, cahill and pienaar return from injury.

Everyone knows that we needed AT LEAST 6 QUALITY new players...we got 5, and 4 of them were for peanuts. We don't know how Castillo, Jacobsen will make out in the Premiership and they're freebies. Saha will probably get injured again (he's injured atm btw, out 3 weeks). And Carlo Nash...well lets not go there, lets just say I'd rather play Turner or Ruddy than this disaster of a keeper...Kenwright promised us investment, and he did not deliver. Thats the one thing that I took out of this summer.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to The Old Lady Hertha again.

Good analysis, Hertha. Very realistic view of the situation.
