He left for the Netherlands because he thought they would give him more of a chance to get real game time development and better attacking training. I remember they did a clip about it a few years ago.
Hard to argue with any of this. Thats why I said for the right price I would have been ok with the gamble that maybe he turns it around here. For what we paid it was just stupid.
I genuinely feel bad as I have a few friends who are Roma fans and all are really nice guys. Promising signs from your new Director of Sport, 1. Dzeko is a proven #9 maybe he isn't world class all the time but he definitely has his moments of brilliance and there weren't many affordable options at the striker position of class this summer 2. A lot of prospects, Zaniolo, Pellegrini, Kluivert, Mancini, Under, Diawara? I think you guys are kind of overestimating Diawara's ability, he won't be world class in my opinion (maybe i'll be wrong) I think his limit will be the Gonalons (lol but seriously) of Lyon. 3. Goalie position is fixed - Olsen and Mirante .... Not too big a surprise you missed out on top 4 but Pau Lopez seems solid and young so he should only get better. 4. Zaniolo, Kluivert, Under, Pellegrini. Not many teams can rival you guys interms of the amount of prospects that can become class. I think you'll hit 4th, dumping the Europa League asap or just letting a lot of your old guard serve there (Pastore, Perotti, and throwing in Zappacosta and Kalinic)
What is there to feel bad about? Roma is a storied and current top 50 club in one of the greatest cities in the world. Could be a lot worse, talk to Bolton/Bury fans
I feel the fans deserve more, Roma is a big club in a huge city. Their potential can be to become the best team in the world and yet, the fans have not been able to celebrate a trophy in over 10 years
I really hope Raiola gets caught up in this. I'd love to see that guy behind bars for a little bit. https://apnews.com/c561688abff345d2a6d96bc6a598abca
Sure, but since American ownership things have finally stabilized and I'd argue we're headed the right direction. We're talking about the top 5% of clubs around the world rn, nothing to feel bad about Ciro.
