He might be there for longer than that. 1. He's almost never fit to play 2. When he plays vs decent opposition he's quite mediocre 3. Anti-team-play attitude 4. Doesn't respect the hand that feeds him 5. Rejects transfers that are "beneath" him even if they offer a good pay-day 6. Tries to sue his team for a situation he created 7. Had a POS agent 8. Tries to force transfers on loans to a specific club Anyone who'd be able to ponny-up the 30-40mil. will be aware of those things, and for 40m you can do bette, quality and mentality-wise. Plus in between COVID, the inflation crisis right now and UEFA/PL/Serie A finally cracking down on blatant cheaters, Real & Barca having financial and image problems, and players being more aware of the true value of their image rights, I don't think that the current inflated transfer fees will continue for much longer.
Most vital position going into next season: Defensive midfielder still, no? Then players who can allow a back four. Whether that's a new starting CB and LB as well.
