Came across the news about Anass Salah-Eddine and Betis. Personally, I wouldn’t rush to let him go. He’s still young, had a good spell at PSV and can definitely be useful for Roma, especially with his versatility and potential to improve. If Betis come in with a really good offer then it’s something the club has to consider, but I wouldn’t sell him just to make room. Players with his profile can become valuable assets.
I read Roma might take Noa Lang instead. Together with Malen, they could prove a good tandem. It's difficult to judge him from his time at Napoli. He never got on with Conte and things fell apart from there. Personally, I don't rate him. He thinks he's the Dutch Neymar. It will be a tall order for Gasperini to get his head out of his own ass.
Happy the Greenwood saga is over, extra curricular activity aside I don't think he would've been a good investment. The fee was far too high to make any large profit, even if an elite club would come in for him - which I doubt as they would be trying to sign him now. The best hope would've been a Saudi oil team, but I'm glad he never donned a Roma shirt in his hopes to wash his reputation. I am disappointed we didn't have a strong alternative - also another transferal market where Gasp didn't get 'his man' even if I don't agree with his choice of character.
Utd always grossly overpay....sometimes for bang average. So if they want Kone we should look for 75-80 mil....or they can fcuk off.
They even had a petition going. Even if youre right about not getting a large profit back (which I highly doubt as hes a 100+ million pound player without his baggage) what you do get back in the here and now is goals and winning games. Whats that worth?
According to Alfredo Pedullà, Roma are still working on Alejandro Garnacho, Diego Moreira and Nicolò Tresoldi 👀Tresoldi is waiting for the Giallorossi, but Roma may need to move quickly. Gabriel Martinelli is not a target right now.https://t.co/50BLmXxfgO— AS Roma Daily (@asromadaily1927) July 12, 2026
I think if the elite clubs were willing to take him and his baggage on, they'd be doing it now, Barca just dropped 80m in Antony Gordon....
I'm not sure about Garnacho who is hated in England. For the same amount of money you can get Tzolis who has better statistics. Him and Summerville would give our attack a huge boost.
La Joya with a 60% paycut, let's hope Pelle & Mancini follow his lead. Lowering the salary gives us a least a chance of signing the likes of a Summerville or Moreira. (Reading this afternoon that Moreira has already agreed terms at 3Mpa)
Cant say I've seen much of the WC but I did happen see the Belgium game when Moreira came on as a sub. Looked an interesting player for sure. Played LW that game....but apparently is more accustomed to the LWB role? Versatility is never a bad thing.
Roma have been a gateway club for a long time now. Preform here and teams want you and in his case earn his way back to the top the long way one level at a time.
I wasn’t totally against Greenwood, not afraid to say it. but I’m really hoping Summerville becomes reality
