Karsdorp was banished what, two or three different times? Zalewski will play when players legs start to go. He’s registered for Europa League.

It is sad though. Volpato, Bove, Zalewski, Calafiori all kicked to the curb. Totti and De Rossi would be sold if they were just coming up now.

Bove may still come good. De Rossi is the least likely person I expected to not see him as part of the project. But when you have an opportunity to sign a player like Kone, something will have to give. Unfortunately that was not Cristante.

I was sad about selling Bove and also would've liked to see Cristante gone instead of him but Pisilli seems to offer just the same. I remember when we used to loan out these players year after year without much return. Making a capital gain on them is the smarter option and other teams do it too. Just look how many NextGen players Juve sold this summer. As long as we keep including some sort of sell-on fee I'm fine with it.

Come on man, these players are not freaking Totti and De Rossi… Totti debuted at 16 and was captain by 22… De Rossi was in the first team by 18, at 21 he went to the World Cup as a starter for Italy (until his ban) then went to win the trophy, scoring a penalty in the final

you can’t compare the quality of these players… even Calafiori argument is weak when the guy went on loan to Genoa for 6 months before we sold him and could hardly get a game there before he was sold

Frattesi maybe… but the guy left at 16 and you can blame Monchi for trading him for ********ing Defrel (and Frattesi isn’t even a starter for Inter)

no need to make these melodramatic statements, you sound an engagement baiting twitter account

Totti was nearly sold to Sampdoria when he was 19 or 20. Today he would be sold 100%. And we would all be cheering at how great the Plusvalenza is.

Roma have sold off every promising player to come out of the academy. It’s a joke when this last 7 or 8 years has been one of the better periods of good players coming out of it

Danso has to undergo a minor intervention to the heart (ablation via cardiac catheter). So there really was a condition that popped up at our medical, not us wanting to chicken out last minute. And it may has spared everyone from seeing a player drop dead on the field.

Pellegrini not going to renew his contract?

Good. Ship him off in January.

From what I've heard it's the club who don't want to renew him and there have been reports that we were even open to selling him in the summer but no offer came in (except from Saudi clubs which he didn't want to join).

Pellegrini will be trying to paint his own story as another Roman hero driven out yet had to managed to simply kick the ball down the pitch instead of being a fanny, DDR would still be here. About 6 weeks ago before the shitstorm kicked off I did see the net closing quickly for him with the solid selection of midfielders and I fancied the chances he would be gone in Jan. For all concerned, moving on and a fresh start is long overdue.

Fresh pastures would be better for Pellegrini. Too much pressure for him at Roma.

Ideally Pellegrini and Paredes leave after this season. Build the midfield around Kone and Pisilli.

I remember we were linked with Retegui this summer and I (along with others) thought he wasn't a great option for us... watching him play for Atalanta and Italy so far this season I think he's actually quality and has a lot more to his game than being simply a poacher
