That's a very strong market for Ghisolfi, making the team more competitive while clearing out blood sucking contracts and lowering the overall wage bill
Impressive work, from 105 million to 90 million while rejuvinating the squad and adding quality, youth and experience. With the arrival of Hermoso and Hummels the market is a 8/10 for me, we missed out on buying starters at left wing and right back but these positions can be addressed in the coming windows (Dybala situation also complicated things, as well as Tammy not leaving permanently)
Well I think DDR is insistent that we play out from the back and be brave on the ball. That's all fine but he needs to come up with a couple more ideas about how we're going to do it. I've seen even the lowliest teams squeeze us into ugly play from the back too many times, leaving me wishing we'd be willing and ready to switch it up and go more direct sooner rather than later.....as I touched on in the last matchday thread. On paper it looks to have been a strong market for us and DDR looks to have a much more capable squad to play the way he wants to now. The rest is over to him. I'm pissed with the shitty start to the season but remain hopeful that this squad can achieve better things than what we've seen in recent years.
Dahl wasn't included in the UEFA list but DDR included Sangare I wonder if Hermoso will fill in at left back, DDR must believe in Sangare and maybe he'll use him in the cup

Amazing job. If we kept the same wage bill, we wouldn't make CL. This squad hasn't made it for years, and this change was necessary. We can go forward from here with a younger squad.
I mean they have to sell him, his contract expires next year so either we sell him now and get a bit of money for a new full back or we renew him at a higher salary (then pray he performs.... which i doubt)
About Kone, just wooooww. Hearing all good things about his performance vs Belgium. I didn't know he was that massive physically, bro is just MONSTER. And he is only 23 years old. After Nainggolan, we potentially getting midfielder who is capable of doing everything and anything on the pitch.
Nicola #Zalewski is getting closer to #Galatasaray from #ASRoma for €10M (bonuses included). Ready a contract until 2028 for the polish. #Roma have given the green light to the sale and Gala are now waiting for Zalewski’s final answer. #transfers https://t.co/hpmgV9jkDC— Nicolò Schira (@NicoSchira) September 10, 2024
I meant Celik might be able to do that run against Indonesia . Its not exactly high level comp. The new signing looks decent but we'll have to see how raw he is in the higher level league.
not really, it’s a great price because in January they can sign him for free (Kone cost us 20 in the same circumstances…. Zalewski is not worth half of Kone) Also i read Zale is asking for 2 million a year to renew… ehhh good bye my polish friend
Selling the young Pole now is a no brainer. Just surprised it didnt happen already this summer, but it looks like we're gonna get there in the end. Decent player but not good enough and never likely to be imo. Severely lacking in end product. Good business, again. On the balance sheet and on paper it looks to have been an excellent effort from Ghisolfi. Lets hope we see the results on the pitch reflect that. Shitty start again sadly, we need a good month now to get this ball rolling properly.
my mistake, though I think that fact makes my point even stronger that 10 mill is a great price for Zalewski
