It does say in the article that it would be a loan swap not a transfer, i don't mind that unless they have an option to buy on Bove and he can get minutes there
Bove should go on loan. With Dybala staying likely going back to a 4231, so now only two midfield positions instead of three. And if another midfielder arrives then Bove is 6th choice at that point. May be even 7th if DDR sees Baldanzi there.
Thought I'd see if the forum had anything to add to a great day for the Giallorossi. Only to read this garbage.
Hardly right imo when Dybala accepts the offer just hours after him tweeting he's more likel, to stay. I think the clubs would've found a solution if necessary. I won't believe they wouldn't up their offer if they are willing to pay the player 25m per year. The most likely scenario to me is that Dybala changed his mind last minute and the club wasn't trying to push him out like some media suggested but rather let him alone make the decision about his future. I can't imagine DDR changing to a 4231. Even though it would be best for our offense. We'd have way too many midfielders while still needing a classic DM in that scenario. But if he really does then Baldanzi is probably the back-up for Dybala (and Soule). If it were up to me I'd then sell Cristante and probably Pellegrini too. Start the new DM and Le Fee. Have Paredes and Bove as back-ups. I think Bove's best position would actually be as part of the double pivot in a 4231.
Its the most bizarre transfer offer Ive ever heard off given they were offering 75 million for just 3 years in wages. 3 million plus bonuses for Dybala. Thats just outright disrespectful.
Correct but little point trying to explain anything to him. Dybala has been among the best players in the world for the past 10 years and minuses the injuries, he might have bagged a Ballon d'or already. I dont see there being hard feeling between anyone here, he always comes across as a good lad so he can focus on the football now. Its done.
According to Sky Sport, Roma are working with Napoli on a swap deal involving Nicola Zalewski and Cyril Ngonge with a minimal fee in favor of the Partenopei https://t.co/30pBVPFueK— RomaPress (@ASRomaPress) August 23, 2024 Fleecing Napoli
Now that's a deal I like! Zalewski has one year in his contract left and he's simply not good enough.
correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't Ngonge play on the right wing? I'd rather sell Zalewski to PSV and spend the money on a left winger
in his last 50 matches he played on the left wing exactly once https://www.footballcritic.com/cyril-ngonge/player-positions/139970
“”In the meantime, the Giallorossi are working with a limited budget, reports Di Marzio. After Dybala’s turnaround, Roma have to re-evaluate their budget and decide whether to invest in Koné or defender Kevin Danso for whom Lens are asking 25 million euros.”” Koné or Danso…who do we need more? We can’t have both apparently. Can't we just sell Abraham already. Don't send him on loan to AC Milan please.
DDR supposedly is pushing hard for Kone. Papers are claiming he already has an agreement with Roma. Looks like he only played 4 minutes today for his club which is a good sign that it may be close.
I have a crazy idea that if we buy Danso DDR will shift Mancini to right back (I always think he’s surprisingly good when he takes a run up the flank)
We need Tammy gone already to free up funds for these much need reinforcements. Pissing me right off as I knew it would.
I hate that we're pushing Bove out to sign Koné, especially after DDR's comments on Roma losing out on the Fratessis of the world.
Yeah he's really good. Strong, has this great way of maintaining the ball and pushing it past the pressing opponent. Would sit well very nicely next to Paredes.
