30 million for his left foot.....15 for the rest. Squeeze as many Arab milliions out of em as possible. Joking aside, if they did put a decent bid on the table and Dibbles is willing to go then you gotta sell. The financial gain for Roma outweighs his ability.....when fit.....and you gotta emphasise the 'when fit' bit. Like it or not, the fitness sword of Damocles constantly hangs over Dibbles.
I agree, I mean with his salary gone plus the transfer fee they should bring in a decent replacement, it just sucks if he's done this 3 days before the start of the season rather than just accepting it in June, it would've unlocked the transfer market for the club
From Argentina: Dybala gave green light to Saudi move after faced with ‘more relegated’ role at Roma https://t.co/ew2JtWbgnb— RomaPress (@ASRomaPress) August 15, 2024
Sounds like the Saudi’s offered Dybala €80 million for a 3 year deal. Hard to turn that down at his age. It’s just too bad how late in the window it is, can’t really find anyone without paying a premium. At least this lets DDR switch to his 433 and probably makes the team a bit better defensively. Only positive to take from this.
When I was young, I used to be an idiot. Now I'm still an idiot, but not so much about money anymore - my idealistic self will get shot and buried in the ground by my pragmatic self for 10-fold increase in salary that's already in the 7 figures. Dybala, and many people around him, are going to get some generational wealth money from just this one deal. I love Roma, but I'm not turning down 10mil for them, let alone 80mil I will still love the guy for being literally the only positive thing about this club for the last few years, he made my dream of Roma sometimes having a player like him true, and for that he has my sincere thanks. I'd be happy for Roma if he stays, and happy for him if he goes.
Regards DDR telling him he may be in for reduced playing time from a technical pov, if the article is to be believed, I think thats madness. From a strictly numbers side of things, probably not. Maybe the excuse they came up with for DDR to use to prompt him into a transfer? The way I see it is if Dybala is 15 games from activating a new one year automatic extension, wouldnt the offers be there in a year at 31..Most likely yes. Fans would have liked to see all these pieces together for one year at least and have some fun on the pitch. Essentially you get the same type of offer from Saudi next year excluding any serious injury and tbf in Dybala's case, its not really his issue. His is more the constant little niggly injuries that see him out for a week or 2. Thats not putting off them any time soon.
According to Sky Sport, Paulo Dybala has not yet made a decision about his future: Al Qadsiah remain convinced of their offer, after submitting a contract of €60+ million to the player and €18 million fee to Roma https://t.co/7YtZUrc5Co— RomaPress (@ASRomaPress) August 15, 2024
Theate to Frankfurt. As good as our mercato started we still need a left winger, a right back and probably a center back too. I'd also go for a powerhouse in midfield (like Soumare). I mean, we could definitely start the season with SES (/Dybala), Celik and Smalling+Kumbulla but I wouldn't get my hopes of a top 4 finish up too high.
+++ #Dybala alla @OfficialASRoma +++#Dybala si allena con il gruppo in vista della sfida del 18 con il @CagliariCalcio. L’argentino pensa solo a rendere al meglio per l’esordio in @SerieA. Ancora nessuna offerta ufficiale alla #Roma. pic.twitter.com/IfXc0RR76b— Andrea Desideri (@andreadesider10) August 16, 2024 If Dybala is in the squad for Sunday I feel like he’s staying… i saw a rumour that Tammy might go to Al Ahly if they fail to sign Toney, apparently they already have an agreement with him
🔵🇦🇱 Excl: Espanyol have agreed loan deal to sign Marash Kumbulla as new centre back from AS Roma.Final detail sorted today as Kumbulla leaves Roma with immediate effect. pic.twitter.com/7OyWsMIYne— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 16, 2024 Some good news!
If roma can actually get the cash they are trying to for Dybala, I'd sell him too. The problem is will they reinvest that money on players who can help the team or will the owners keep if for future or their own use?
it’s too bad Berardi is out for a few more months. He would at least soften losing Dybala and could get him on a big discount now with Sassuolo in B. Dybala being sold probably frees up close to 30 million from his fee and wages/bonuses. Likely could get one of Bellanova or Chiesa, and a decent back up CB for that money.
Snip snap snip snap Report: Dybala leaning towards Roma stay https://t.co/8TsE5Eh9k6— RomaPress (@ASRomaPress) August 19, 2024
He should stay one more year. Hopefully that wouldn’t exclude Assignon. this deadwood is truly killing the club.
#Calciomercato | @OfficialASRoma, non c'è ancora una scelta definitiva da parte di #Dybala, ma ad oggi l'argentino è più vicino a partire che a restare https://t.co/LXuvKpj2Jw— Gianluca Di Marzio (@DiMarzio) August 19, 2024 Di Marizo: Roma's bench shows that Dybala is no longer a starter in Daniele De Rossi's plans and the former Juventus striker is realizing that perhaps he has to leave. Today it is a little more likely that he will leave rather than stay, but in any case it was not a decisive day for his future. De Rossi would endorse Dybala's sacrifice, because in this case the club could then complete the squad with expensive operations that it would not be able to do otherwise. First of all, if the Argentine were to leave, there would be no replacement for him , because they have already taken Soulé in that position. The Giallorossi will take Assignon on the right and Saud Abdulhamid in defense. Then a left winger will arrive (the name of Boga is hot , for whom Roma is negotiating with Nice), to which would be added a strong central defender and a strong midfielder , on whom the club could invest the money deriving from the sale of Dybala.
