Exactly my point, there are regulations in place, fraud happened with specific personal gains in mind and you end up in prison while your company is bankrupt. You yourself said that bids need to be made public and I think that is something Watzke referred to in the past on multiple occassions. But all of this isn't really important anyways. I think a lot of sport journalists have egg on their faces and try to avoid embarrassment. For instance, the numbers for the supposed installments and the reasons for the failed deal are all over the place. At best, only one scenario can be true while it's likely as well that all are made up. I just want the team preparing in peace instead of another Dembele saga and we'll see in the coming weeks how serious BVB was with the recent announcements regarding Sancho.
I mean this is not happening but if Barça sold Dembélé to United, BVB would receive 20m or so in bonuses. https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soc...le-as-sancho-alternative-sources?platform=amp
I thought the 20 million was what we were still owed. But it's crazy that given his current market value and if we are still to get those 20 million, he'd be almost affordable. On the other side, there are reasons for that, of course.
If we manage to hold on to Sancho, then that's a huge signal of intent. We have a squad as good as any in Europe. Unfortunately the only team that might be better are Bayern. I know it's a gamble, but we need to get a top manager to take control of this team. Fire Favre and get Poch if Nagelsmann is impossible. It's still a big IF, but keeping Sancho for another year alongside Haaland is a game changer. This reminds me of 2015/16, which was the last time we had a team capable of winning everything.
ENROn went for years falsifying their balance sheets, and the only reason they were found out were because they collapsed financially and couldn't keep things under wraps. Having a company add an addendum to an already signed contract stipulating a years extention to a contract is the least of trivialities. Why was that addendum not made public ... y all the obfuscation ? 'Oh and besides, we extended Jadon's contract to 2023 last year' ... right : ) Then y were u entertaining selling a players with 3 years left on his contract when he is your top performer ? When does a club like Dortmund ever do that ? No, he had 2 years, they were considering selling TO Manchester, Jadon was considering going and had extensive contact, only for Liverpool to come in and have a gentlemans' agreement to purchase him next year ... 'oh wait, wait, Jadon signed a contract extension with us last year, he is now contracted to '23'. Stop being naive man, it is like a chess game of obfuscation ... pieces move without being moved. It is why we are on a forum talking about mirrors, about deslumbrans, while clubs like Liverpool are making simultaneous offers for lewis anD Tsimikas suggesting to both that they are first choice. You are playing checkers ... ******** man, u r in the stone age playing sticks and stones while the game has evolved into convolutions so far removed from u. Have you seen the advancements in AI and Game Theory ?? Wake up man !!
Well, there have been rumors going around about Depay as a potential Sancho replacement but that was probably bs. But he has only one year left on his contract and it seems that Reus could be out for a bit longer. He could probably also play striker so we'd have cover for Haaland as well. An attack with Depay, Haaland and Sancho with Brandt behind them sounds great but given that we also have Hazard and Reyna plus Reus hopefully coming back soon, it just seems too much. I'd love the combo of skill and experience, though and Sancho will leave eventually.
Wish RBL wins over Atletico tomorrow. Will only show that they don’t shit their trousers for anybody, and show our board that it’s the coach that is of a great importance
I'd go for Poch if he was available! One of the very few clear upgrades on Favre which I'd be willing to take a risk on, in this crucial must-win-something season.
People can learn languages. That's a really stupid qualifier, especially since most of the squad speak English and French, Juventus acted like a big club. Sarri was bad, they still won the league, but the way the team was playing wasn't good enough for they fired him. Bayern did the same. There are lots of managers that might be better than Favre.
The club employs German tutors for the players, so why not the coach, and in any case pretty much all the players can speak/understand English. I know for a fact that Reus, Hummels, Can, Witsel and Haaland are all pretty fluent in English, that's the core of the team. Employing Poch really wouldn't be an issue on the language front.
Rumors regarding Pochettino were about Newcastle (with a mega salary) and rather recently Benfica. It seems a bit strange not hearing much about him which makes me think he has already made commitments. But I don't think there's any point in dreaming about a new big name coach. The club has made its decision.
Some nerdy details about Sancho's "secret" extension: https://amp.sport1.de/article/56380...ampaign=sharing_app&__twitter_impression=true Usually BVB is required as a public company to disclose substantial events related to player transfers, including written offers from other clubs. According to German financial regulators Sancho's extension was okay to keep under wraps since it didn't imply a large impending cashflow (I.e. transfer fee) or impact the sporting quality (since no squad move took place), hence it isn't considered material for the purposes of preventing insider trading.
Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke on Jadon Sancho, to RTL: "We are Westphalians. To us, the word definite means definite. Jadon will play with us for the 2020/21 season. There's no room for interpretation." #BVB #MUFC— Ronan Murphy (@swearimnotpaul) August 13, 2020
Good for Watzke. Probably won't stop the speculation though. The press don't have much to talk about so will try to make this a long running saga, even if in reality it isn't. Would help if Sancho says publicly that he is staying.
Yes it would help if Sancho publicly said something, but the speculation is actually working in Dortmund's favour. This is a perfect time to use the PR to our advantage. Have Sancho compare himself to a Moukoko. Have him talk up the rest of the team. We can use the PR for our advantage, but this is providing he stays.
I think that's exactly what BVB was doing in yesterday's training match comments. Sancho probably shouldn't be expected to say anything that might directly burn his bridges with United, but it's good to utilize club media to emphasize that he enjoys playing for Borussia Dortmund.
We are close on signing Reinier from Madrid on loan... I dont want us to train other club players.. Whats the point of that if you cant keep him?
Watzke gave an interview today where he said that they have no money to pay transfer fees. It is what it is.
