Read my rant about Castro and Toprak above. Seriously, fvck Tuchel.

Schürrle was No doubt a bust, but I I just can't hate the guy, he played a crucial role in Germany winning the World Cup.

Of all the players brought back for a second stint Hummels ist the only one who can still play at a top level.

Haha! you remind me of the Castro days, and how every one on here was angry about his play!

I think it would be more fair to also put down the sale value of these flops, take the difference, and see if the gain/loss was worth it. And also add up all these gains/losses to see overall how we're doing.

But I did a quick search a couple of weeks ago to understand why Bayern is much richer. Unlike my guess, it wasn't about TV rights (which is the main income for clubs in England,) this article claimed it was simply bigger more committed sponsors. I guess Bayern finds a way to have them pay without owning the club. I wonder if this is a model that would work for us.

Why not offer some cash for Jovic.. He is a major flop on Madrid..
Still very young, knows the league..
Madrid is desperate to get rid of him and i bet you can get him under 40M..

Jovic + 80m for Sancho might be a great deal.
The deadline for selling Sancho runs out tomorrow, but doesn’t men much, everybody can do as they like and come with bids when it’s suitable for them

Zorc stated today that if Sancho were to leave this summer, the club will go out in the market to get a replacement. In fact, he spoke of two potential players that they were looking at.

Supposedly they can't do the medical until after the Championship season's conclusion due to quarantine rules etc

well it looks like United just need to win and they are locked into CL play. That may change their minds about going all in for Sancho or not.

Some think, myself included, that United will want Sancho even more if they make UCL

If RB is now a problem for us then why wouldnt we check in on Dest with AJAX instead of letting Bayern bag him for cheap?

I know he is an American but he seemed to play pretty well for Ajax this year.

Is Dest going to be cheap? If BVB was up for dropping $ on a young right back, they would have tried to sign Hakimi. Tbh he does not sound like the type to stick around for long.

Last i checked Dest was 20-30 million. Hakimi was what 40? What are we calling cheap?

Why should RB be a problem? Don’t we have Morey and Mounier? I’d rather go for a solid CB and let Akanji go + Balerdi on loan

    So the latest:
    • Schulz, Dahoud, and Balerdi (Marseille loan) could all leave.
    • BVB wants to keep Delaney but an exit is possible.
    • Akanji is probably staying

I'm glad Akanji is probably staying, he showed in 18-19 that he could be a good CB, and after poor form earlier last season his form post lockdown was better.

    I would also keep Dahoud.

Dahoud needs to play more but Favre cannot help himself but play Witsel and Can into the ground. If we're gonna play a double pivot then one needs to be a ball playing CM like Dahoud.

I think the plan is to play 4-3-3 as the base formation. Agreed that at least one of the midfielders needs to be competent in ball progression through the center, which is probably the biggest weakness of Witsel’s game. You need Dahoud or Brandt there, and maybe even Reyna or Rapha (hi Tuchel) in one of the 8 positions if you feel adventurous.

Wow, BVB managed to negotiate a contract termination with Schürrle. One more piece of housekeeping checked off.

Bellingham deal is final as Romano reports that he's been in Dortmund today to undergo his medical. Will be announced next week after Birmingham's season concludes.

Rumors that Dzeko is leaving Roma. He'd make a great backup striker!

Also, what do you guys think of Rudiger? Would he be an upgrade to our backline?

Rüdiger would be way too expensive. I imagine Džeko wouldn't come cheap either...

Dzeko would be a great addition as he would not result in a big drop off in case of a Haaland injury. Problem is that he's on a 7.5M a year deal with Roma and Inter is very interseting in obtaining him (Conte is a big fan apparently) with Roma willing to let him go for 15M euros. I think that may be a too steep for us.

15 million is too much for us? I mean he's not a superstar, and he's a bit old, but we paid 30 million for Schurrle! I think Dzeko would be much more effective.

I'd also think he'd be willing to take a pay cut at his age. But if he has Inter in mind, it may be difficult to change his mind. They have a good coach and seem to be building something good.

Delaney reassures a young fan who is distraught at reports that he would leave BVB.

If the club really see Jonathan Ikone from Lille as a replacement for Sancho, i am ok with Sancho sale this summer.
Ikone is a WC player, but i cant see getting him for less than 40-45M
