Because he wanted to leave and clearly he didn't have the trust of our coach. Sending Morata with a two year buy back option was a no-brainer. Juventus, however, didn't seem like the most sensible option.
With Agüero and Dzeko signing new deals and Jovetic coming into a bit of form this season I'm struggling to see why they even want Falcao.
Negredo would be a decent signing. Hes pretty underrated imo. Then in two years, we can buy back Morata again. Perfect scenario.
He is a good player but out the "Falcao to City" "Negredo to Madrid" deals in my opinion we end up the worst out of it, ok probably not worst but certainly City get the better deal.
Morata: He is young. He might become a very good player, but he needs more PT to grow as a player. He won't be doing that with this team. He won't be happy. Negredo: He is at his peak. He won't grow much as a player. He does not nee PT to develop. He should know where he is in terms of playing level. He should know that he is a backup player at best over here. He sat on the bench with Man City anyway. That depends on the transfer fees of both players,
Now Ancelotti has come out with "we might buy we might not" The market is "not closed" "We have versatile players but not a big squad"
Deal makes as much sense as the Juventus rumors which were floating around, that is to say it doesn't.
I don't mind Negredo, but if we don't upgrade Khedira's position with a last minute Pogba deal then I think this team is worse than last season. Perhaps not player by player but in terms of balance, certainly so.
We are so stupid if we end up with Negredo, and Falcao ends up at City... that's ridiculous... What's wrong with Carlo not wanting competition for Benz?
