The window closes and the speculation goes crazy.

    1. "William Gallas is totally radged off playing at right-back, and hopes someone, he doesn't care who, just anyone, will make a £7m for him, thus activating a release clause in his Chelsea contract."
From the Grundian (Guardian, Manchester, UK)

Like Chelsea would sell Gallas for 7 million quid, they must be out of their fecking mind. I love the way they repeatedly publish this nonsense about a 7 million buy-out clause - it does NOT exist. I think its just sour grapes up in manc land that we have a better CD than they do, Gallas is far superior to Rio, and they know it, and we spent 20 million quid less on him.

    2. "David Dunn, whose luxurious curly bouffant betrays the fact that he's the bastard lovechild of Mr Darcy from Pride and Prejudice and Brian 'Wooly' Woolnough, is on his way to Stamford Bridge!
And even better news for Chelsea. Jody Morris, the poor man's Dennis Wise (and there's damning with faint praise), is heading in the opposite direction to Blackburn."
From the Grundian (Guardian, Manchester, UK)
I wouldn't mind Dunn, but I'd keep Jody Morris, specially if we're going to be playing CL football.

David Dunn is tipped to be a future England International (I think he got a cap against Portugal actually). He was captain of the U-21 for the European 2002 championship. It would be a steal if we got this fellow. He is so young and has a huge upside. I would like to keep Jody as well but with our 'financial' situation, it probably wouldn't be possible.

    Well, well well...Dunn eh?
He can play wide left can't he?

Zenden or Gronks-or perhaps both of 'em gone to make funds for him.
Keep Morris as we have little or no cover in the middle of the park as it is.The last thing we need to be doing there is leting go established players.

    Ronaldinho with the Big Teeth

Ronaldinho - over-rated Brazilian or the perfect man to step into Zola's shoes?
Arsene Wenger is planning to hijack Fergie's £11m bid for the PSG player, should Chelsea make a move?

If West Ham go down, and it is looking likely, the rumour is that Newcastle and Sir Bobby B will reunite the lad with Woodgate up north.

Keeping an eye on the West Ham Exodus - Who would you like to see at Chelsea?
    Joe Cole? Carrick? DeFoe?

Get rid of Zenden and Gronkjaer and buy Dunn and Cole :)

    So who's this fella then?

I think its also known as a minimum fee release clause and it does exist. And United has no intrest in Gallas whatsoever.

Re: Re: Transfer Talk begins again

    No it is not.
It was a clause that was writen in to protect Chelsea should they want to allow him to move on or if they wanted to transfer him.It was writen in to circumvent the "unwanted transfer" financial penalty that chelsea would incur if they sold him without his consent.
It was erroneously picked up by the hacks and put forward as such and now most people think that it is fact.

If it were true he would have been gone long ago.
And Sir Whinge would trade half his back line just for him;)
