Hasn't had a lot of goals in his game, but so far we're 1-1 picking up players from the Championship and elevating them. I quite like getting players from the championship as an idea as it's a very physical league, so being able to play there normally means Portugal can be a cakewalk. Bit of a premium though on the 3m they paid a year ago. For deals like these would you prefer a lower fee + sell on, or a higher fee with minimal sell on?

I’ve read the opposite, plays on the right or at striker. Can’t say I’ve ever seen him play tbf. Diomande for 32mil seems pretty insane. I do think he’s overrated, but that’s a bargain.

Diomande deal for anything less than the buyout is an awful deal. 32 million is insane when you consider we're buying dudes for slightly less than that. He's way more important to this team than dudes like Trincao and Pote.

The story his agent has released is that it was financial issues. They were close to signing but at last minute Strasbourg reduced the salary offer and stuff and so they pulled out.
